Status Report On David's Activities

I hope this letter finds you well,

I have cased the operation conducted by sir David and I can safely report that there is nothing you'd expect from a typical Revolutionary. He is an honest, wise old man who follows Ilmater and genuinely helps the poor of the Hive with the assistance of his daughter, Anna. I saw no signs of other Revolutionaries within the building, or weapons of any type; what I have instead found was a soup kitchen and a primitive medical facility.

We conducted a rather lengthy discussion, and came to several points:

• 1) He will come and visit our own charitable operation between the Hive and Clerk's Ward (the soup kitchen initiated by you) to give his blessing and assist if he can, but his priority remains at his own house for he does not want people to take the risky journey to the outskirts of the Hive Ward.
• 2) He does not truly believe our willingness to help him out, which is fair, considering the reputation the Triad has within the Hive Ward.
  
  
  

If we truly want to help these poor souls in the lengthy campaign of improving our image and reputation among them, I suggest we start small. We can continue running our own soup kitchen, which had a rather decent traffic last time I checked, but should also extend to help this bastion of hope aswell.

In my reckoning, they need medical supplies and tools first and foremost: their medical facility is not something I'd bet my life on.

The sensitive part is trying to protect this operation from the less honorable Revolutionaries. I'd advise we look for volunteers with a good heart, who follow the "Peace is our goal" part of our tenet first and foremost: paladins, followers of Pelor or Ilmater, etc. It would be best if these people would be best at fighting unarmed in light clothing, so that they do not need to wear imposing armor or carry frightening weaponry with them. At first, they'd need to blend in without any sign of them being part of the Harmonium, before slowly revealing to the people that is indeed we who are helping to keep them safe.

Of concern is the presence of the Mercykiller Namer, Dace Andor, who is also trying to initiate similar assistance... but I am more so concerned about what the Sodkiller majority will do about this, to be perfectly honest; they did start overstepping their designated tasks recently.

thank you for your report and your insights.

I agree with your assessment that something must be done to expand our influence in the Hive- and to correct the image many of the people there have from us.

Assemble a squad of people you think fit for this kind of duty. I like your ideas but remind them that they will be targets for verbal and corporal abuse, that they will be confronted with evil in many forms.
Some holy warriors feel the urge to eradicate this evil which might lead to an escalation of the situation so look for calm heads.

I will give you an additional 1000 Toruses per week to buy supplues for the kitchen and to hire  an additional helper from the locals.

Of course we will have the Revolutionary League trying to infiltrate this operation but perhaps we can use this to our advantage.

As for the Mercykillers I suggest you judge them individually. It is the same as it is in our faction- different people have different ways to work for their faction's ideals. Cooperate with those who are helpful, keep an eye out for those who are prone to make troubles.

But after all is said and done we are all part of the Triad and we cannot allow ourselves to be torn apart by internal conflict.


As for David I have a plan that might help with quelling some unrest peacefully.
