Due to recent events threatening one of our initiates called Vilanth, we took in charge her own security. However it seems that a member of your faction attempted to take charge of that matters interfering with our guidance.

The man called Phantom presented himself in the foundry, showing off his badge without wearing any uniform and called for upon his authority as a member of the harmonium for taking charge of our initiate, which was of course refused. We'll be satisfied if you investigated the matter, especially if such people presents themselves alone, without any recognizable uniform and their face covered. However, if this man is actually a member of the harmonium, we do note that such interferences can prove troublesome politically wise, especially regarding any of our future collaborations. We do hope the matter will be solved and not repeats again.

Faithfully,

Kala Ta'Kan, Namer of the Godsmen.

*when asked, phantom would give his own side of the story*

"this situation began quite a bit before the events in question. it began in the bazaar with a dark harlequin, coincidentally the same one who has been reported for assaulting the man known as neelis, began asking around about the group that arrived here recently from the prime known as scarn. he pulled out a few daggers as said he wished to have a bit of fun with them. it was at that time that i decided to place the group under my own protection. having witnessed this dark harlequin attempt a headstand, fall and break its own neck, only to stand up and snap everything back into place, it was obvious this was no mortal danger. the halfling known as myr golgherro, myself, and one other attempted to detain this dark harlequin. it slipped out of bonds with ease, only to place them back on at a whim, while asking to be freed. myr transformed himself into an iron golem and pinned the harlequin to the ground under his foot while the harmonium was being gathered. at that point, the harlequin simply vanshed, leaving nothing but its clothes behind.

on the night in question, a few of us were standing at the wall, when the harlequin appeared again. it began having a conversation with a tiefling woman there, so i made took no aggressive towards it. it then said it sensed the halfling nearby. i knew he was speaking about the halfling named vilanth, as i had formally offered my aid to her after the first incident. the harlequin approached the inn, and the few of us who had been gathered followed. inside the inn, i saw the halfling sitting at a table with kala. i approached and offered a warning of the coming danger. to which kala told me to "go to sleep". after a few attempts, the harlequin entered, and it was then that kala began to lead the halfling to the door. fortunately, the harlequin was distracted at the time, as they passed within feet of it.

after they left, three of us continued to monitor the harlequin. it headed straight toward the foundry. i entered to witness a lass punch it in the face. it reeled back, but seemed no worse for wear. a wall of dispelling was also cast in the area to no perceivable effect. i drew my flintlock and told the harlequin to leave the area, and to leave the halfling and her group be. after a bit of discussion, it eventually complied. that was when the guards inside the foundry approached and demanded that anyone who wasn't a godsmen leave the area. it was then that i showed my badge, which only led to further harrassments and threats toward myself concerning a creation of friction between the two factions.

those with me and myself left the area in an attempt to appease any slight against the godsmen. we stood outside speaking about the situation. a few moments later, kala and the halfling came out. we spoke for a while, and i offered to let the halfling and her group stay in the safety of my heavily warded home. the offer was declined. the halfling then said it had a headache, and needed to get away from the pounding noises of the factory. it was decided that we would head to elysium to continue our conversation. it was there that kala began spouting off about me being delusional and/or incompetent as well as "attempting to steal a mission from her". the halfling grew frustrated, and understandably so, and made her way down to the beach, alone. when i told kala that if she wished to protect the halfling that she would need to keep her eyes on her at all times, she brushed the suggestion off nonchalantly. claiming "she'll be fine". after an ensuing argument, i left the area.

now, at this point, i feel i really should say something. kala is a former girlfriend of mine, and soon to be a former employee of the private organization that i personally built. she is known to twist the facts of a situation to support her own personal agenda. she allows her emotions to dictate her actions, despite however clouded they may be. it isn't too difficult to understand what her motivations are in all of this. and, to be perfectly honest, is the main reason i will be leaving the city shortly. she continues to harass me to no end, even arriving at my home to do so. my personal recommendation is for her to receive an evaluation from the bleakers at the gatehouse. i want nothing to do with this woman, and have been made a prisoner in my own house due to her. at this time, i would like to request that patrols of the lady's ward check on me in my home as they pass by to make sure no harm has come to me.

thank you, and have a pleasant day

*phantom would then bow his head to whomever had questioned him, turn on his heels, and head back to his home*

Colo Lane investigates the matter. He skims the testimony, glazes past the narrative, but pays careful attention when he reads about someone expressing their authority as a member of the Harmonium in the Headquarters of a different Faction. Lane then looks into whether this individual who calls himself "Phantom" is actually a member of the Harmonium.

He finds it curious that a supposed member of the Harmonium officially introduces himself by a presumed pseudonym, and presents a badge without stating rank like all officers are trained to do.

it would be learned that phantom is employed in a division created by mover amaku. the modified badge he was given acts as a personal zone of truth spell to ensure the validity of his statements. he doesn't fall within any of the official ranks aside from the one given to him by the mover. the records would also indicate that he's worked on and off with the mover and the harmonium for almost a full year. he has previously registered a complaint against the harmonium when he was arrested over a matter deemed so trivial it was immediately dismissed. it would also be noted that he is the one who initially brought the scrolls of mnemur to the harmonium's attention.

Colo Lane scowls upon discovering that this individual representing the Harmonium is not actually a member of the Harmonium.

His first course of action is contacting the Mover Amaku, and reporting the misrepresentation.

His second course of action is to report the violation to another Mover, and request that the Mover Amaku be reprimanded for the irresponsible hiring of non-faction individuals, and allowing them "modified badges" which facilitate misrepresentation.

His third course of action is to inform the officers in the barracks of the matter.

An outsider's accomplishments mean little to Captain Lane, when that outsider is walking the line between working for and masquerading as a Harmonium officer.

phantom is an official member of the harmonium, however the only rank he holds is the one given to him by mover amaku. he works directly for her, in a division that she created. he is not masquerading as a harmonium. quite the opposite. he tends to masquerade as not being a member of the harmonium.

Colo Lane learns more of the matter and is thoroughly confused.

He further investigates the issue- and decides that this (non) Harmonium appointment by Mover Amaku is a flagrant breach of decorum and abuse of power.

Colo Lane updates several other movers as well as the officers in the Barracks. In his discussion with the head Factotoum at the barracks, he points out:

"Any officer of the Harmonium is to apply and train in Arcadia for 6 weeks. Any officer of the Harmonium answers to one who outranks him, and answers to the faction as a whole- not just a single mover. This kind of disregard for the rules and decorum, as well as the hubris to simply....appoint.... someone a member of the Harmonium is unbecoming of someone ranked a Mover.

As for this individual who calls himself - Phantom- I do not recognize him as a member of this faction. She, or he, or it is more a mercenary for Mover Amaku than anything else."

upon hearing this, phantom's badge would be found on colo lane's desk. along with a note.

"there is a reason your faction is considered a joke amongst the populace. i have done everything i can to assist you, only to have my face spit in on multiple occasions. you and your guards can continue to allow threats such as hildmor to rise to power while they stand uselessly in the bazaar only telling people to sheath their weapons. you allow dangerous criminals to walk the streets, and dance to the whims of the delusional. you are pathetic. take this job, and shove it up your ass.

-phantom"

Colo Lane would look at the badge for the name, nod to himself, then discard both the badge along with the unread note without a second thought.

After what happened Amaku reported the situation 'directly' to Factol Sarin and made a clear notice:

"Factol

I have been a loyal member of the Hardheads even after my endangered incident with the King and I will not have my investigators scrutanised by the Mover Colo. Consider that Colo Lane was promoted extremely convinently in a manner that seems more than a little questionable to me and I believe for that reason he needs to be investigated properly before any decisions can be made about my Hardheads in the future.

I will also report, firmly, that I am reporting Colo Lanes abuse of power as a symbol reprisenting the very thing we Harmonium fight against, corruption. The man has more than once attempted to scrutanise my methods on a personal level and I consider this attack a very personal one.

For that reason, I demand the Mover be stripped of his rank or be forced to take an educational test prooving the legitimacy of his capacity to own said rank in the first place.

I await further instruction in Arcadia, as I have long since left the city of doors since I utterly refuse to aid idiots like Colo in the future."

- Mover One Amaku Yamikaze.

The Letter was sent strictly to Sarin only, and absoleutley no one else but Tonat Shar or Kileen Caine was otherwise permitted to read it.
