Sent to the regular Measure that Garen deals with in the Harmonium
wrote:It has come to my attention that a Kyton chain devil, who's name I have yet to acquire, has decided to breach city law within the city itself. It has directly ignored city ordinance in regards to forcefully claiming citizens of the city as slaves. It has claimed registered property, a slave girl named Ticla, and has applied it's own slave rights in direct contrivention of Sigil law, without right, permit, legality or order.

While I cannot give you a name, I can direct you to begin your investigation starting with the witness of one Jall Golgherro. Another potential witness would be Miranda Illdesserin, a red wizard.

It is very important we get this Devil into our posession in order to ensure the creatures of Baator do not forget exactly who it is who enforces the law in this city and why they should never begin to think they can disregard it.

I authorize, on behalf of the Fraternity of Order, direct arrest warrants for this Devil and all that would abet it.

Please ensure I am kept up to date on any and all progress in this matter.  Through the Harmonium we will have Order. Through Order... we will have law. Through law... we will have peace.

Lady`s Grace

Rather than an arrest filed along with an ironically cuffed Kyton, the Harmonium promptly produce a Death Certificate and file the necessary papers for having killed a suspect during arrest.

According to the officers in question, the Kyton immediately put up a fight and slew two of them before he was overpowered. Naturally the body shortly dissipated as the fiend's soul returned to Baator to begin its long evolution from a larva.

But Garen should be pleased by the acquirement of his person's property, which included one Title of Ownership for the registered slave Ticla. The deed appears authentic, and even the most scrutinizing tests can't reveal it as a forgery.

Implications: The Kyton's seizure and purchase of Ticla was quit legal - or someone in the Guvners made a serious clerical error.

(( FYI: A slain Kyton doesn't restart it's evolution from Larvae. A slain Baatezu will emerge, fully healed, exactly 99 years after it is slain. It will reappear on it's particuliar Layer of Hell that it has deemed home. For a Kyton, that would be Jangling Hitar, the Kyton City of Chains on Minauros.

Anyways, continue as you were. Rules Lawyer away!!!! )) ::troll::

Garen thanks the Harmonium for a job well done, reminding them that it is cooperation like this that will ensure a long successful relationship between the two allies.

He checks his pocket watch... almost time to send the Bailiffs after the slave...
