After returning from the castle Hograth is unusually silent. He enters his office, takes off his armour and then makes himself some tea before sitting down to write his reports and an order.

He decides to write the order first- to be delivered to the Measure who handles the corpse disposal.

Sir,

I hereby request to attend the cremation and funeral of former Measure Maime. She faced me in single combat and in the last moments of her life she proved to be honorable and honest.

To honour the redemption of her soul and hoour her last will I request for permission to have cremated after Jasidin protocols and her ashes to be scattered over the Bluereed Lake.

Sir,

we suceeded in assaulting the stronghold and neutralizing the Expansionist forces. Several prisoners have been made and are held in our cells.

The traitor, former Measure Maime, has been slain by myself in single combat. In the end she proved to be an honourable opponent.

The boy and his mother are safe and have moved into their temporary quarters here in the barracks, ready for the journey to Ortho.

The Notaries Eversong and Ta'Kan and Namer Whistel showed abmirable bravery and dedication to our cause.

All three have been promoted by me in the field to the next higher rank.

The last letter is perhaps the most difficult one:

it is my duty to inform you that your daughter has passed into the afterlife to meet her ancestors at the Cabal Macabre.

She spemt her lasts sands as an honorable woman, fought me in single combat, was a good and brave opponent.

Her ashes will be scattered over the Bluereed Lake, according to her last will.
