"We do not yet know what happened to the Stone, we only suspect things. Never believe you know something until it is truly proven, always keep in mind that things might be different as they seem.
He might have hidden the stone in the Festhall, might have covered another thief... I have experienced the most unusual things."

He salutes the squads, gives them a short briefing about the situation then heads out, leading them to the warehouse.

"After what you told me I think it is more a personal matter than an Anarchist plot. That means of course that you and your loved ones are still a target.

Stabbing the Genasi might have been the first move to prepare her abduction. A blood sample to scry on her or to find a poison she is most vulnerable to... it often starts small.

That said you did not do him the favour of stabbing him back and have a dirty dagger lying around somewhere? Even if he is shielded against scrying now we can try again and keeping wards up all time can be costly...."

He glances at the half drow quickly. "Is he a spellcaster? Can he cast his own wards? If not he needs allies or a supply of items to do so...."

He dismisses the suggestion of the blood sample being the reason behind the stabbing with a small hand gesture. Almost as if the thing barely mattered. "No. That was not related, I'm sure. As for a blood sample of his, even if I had stabbed him, I am afraid none would have been left," he replies, leaving the sentence linger for a moment.

"I have... objects belonging to him, but I'm not sure he held them enough to create a good connection with them. That, or handwritten notes, nothing more.
But no, he is no spellcaster, not that I know."

((p.s. not sure if Kapaneus part is being played elsewhere, if not, we can resume it before arriving at the warehouse?

"Good. Then whatever he used to block your scrying will not last long. He might be able to use some natural means or items but places and items like those are rare... and if he has to rely on a hired caster or scrolls... well. Try to Scry again tomorrow. And then the next day... try again and again.

Casters must be paid, Scrolls must be bought.

It is like he is under siege, we can move freely, we shoud have the advantage when it comes to ressources. Lets use this advantage we have- we have too few anyway."

((and yep. agreed))

He stops for a brief moment, and he seems to be slightly embarrassed as he scratches his nose absentmindedly. Then start to walk again, hastening his pace to catch up with Hograth again.

"Measure... I never scryed the Cambion. I.. was not even thinking about him until moments ago... I only looked for the Genasi."

((I will shut up with this :D))

((Promises! Empty promises! I would never make those.... *cough*))

The Half Orc casts a quick glance at the man, perhaps a bit surprised, but then his lips curl into a small smile. "Then you have a lot to do when we are back, Factor."

This might yield some results- and it keeps the Taker busy. After all the feeling of helplessness, the inability to do something is something that can get under the strongest person's skin.

The report is concise and from it Hogarth would learn: the search was as expected unsuccessful. After two days the squad was about to leave. Outside they noticed an altercation between ten men. They withdrew from the house to calm the situation and end the disturbance. Arrests were made the details of which are included in the report. Upon returning to the house they carried out one last sweep of the house upon which they found the sensate stone that is now in Hogarth's possession.

Groaning inwardly Hograth orders Notary Gamsby to his office again. There are a few irregularities in this report that might invalidate everything the search revealed.

He then sets up a letter to the sensates ((which I'll repost in their section)):
wrote: To whom it may concern,

I am hereby requesting details about the Sensory Stone that recently was stolen from the Civic Festhall. Shape, colours, age, unique marks and most important what Experience it carries.

This information would help us with our investigations greatly,

Hograth Thorn, Measure III, Harmonium
Afterwards he will look through the list of the arrested people, perhaps there is anybody involved who might give a hint about what happened.

Of course in the meanwhile a Notary can show Rhistel to this office as well.
