Measure One Cryptbane comes barreling down the hall at the commotion, an angry snarl on his face, with out hesitation he hauls back and decks the reporter in the nose, his heavy metal gauntlet crunching the mans face.

"NOW YOUR CAREER IS OVER! YOUR UNDER ARREST FOR ACTS OF TERRORISM, CIVIL UNREST, VIOLANCE AGAINST THE HARMONIUM, DISTRUCTION OF PRIVATE PROPORTY" he shouts on and on before finally he looks to the half orc holding him. "Hell, shove every charge we can muster down his throat and bring him to the guvners, let them deal with him! He wants a lawyer? Good he will need one!".

He moves off down the hall barking orders and continues to help put out the fires.

A few hours later after the chaos calms down Measure One Cryptbane musters Epsilon company in the courtyard.

"Today we were attacked by a report of S.I.G.I.S, he caused significant damage to our barracks and no doubt is linked to one of many civil unrest groups!. I want Epsilon company armed and ready in one hour! If the movers were not going to approve operation Red Ink, then they sure as hell will now!.

Cornered by the Half-Orc, Mustafa sees no option but to comply.

"Oh, thanks the starts! Someone with organizational ability. I feared we would all be trapped and burned alive here!"

As he is led away, he jiggles the documents in his robes and slides them into inside pockets where he can, praying to his god that none of the papers will slip until he can get seated with a moment to breath and ensure they are secure and unlikely to be found.

He did wish he had used all his bombs.... Not good to have any found on him. Maybe there will be somewhere to stash them remaining couple somewhere in the cell or elsewhere.

Cryptbane's rant amused Mustafa, although he was worried the fool would physically assault him. If he knocked one of the bombs it could mean death for both of them.

"Must get rid of the bombs" he thought once again.

But in response to Cryptcbane rant he simply said to his captor "A little excitable isn't he? And not one for seeking proof before placing blame. Shame really, especially when it is so obvious what caused the fire in the first place".

"Stand down Cryptbane" The elderly female Harmonium factotum gruffly orders "There will be no officer mobilization until authorization descends from higher channels. Right now we need to worry about the safety of our headquarters and securing the area!"

"You- " she addresses the half orc "take the prisoners to a secure area, make sure they are handcuffed and changed into prison scrubs. All articles of clothing will be searched. I did not see who caused this, and we will NOT be throwing out accusations of violence without certainty!" . While this is happening, she would attempt to contain the situation at the Barracks. From behind her red-metallic helm, she would bit her lip tensely. The thought dawns upon her that the one responsible may be wearing a Harmonium uniform.

Later that day, she would sign papers requesting the temporary transfer of all prisoners in Barracks holding cells to the Prison due to the security risk and damage in the Barracks. She hoped for a joint interrogation there where both the Red Death as well as the Harmonium could offer their expertise regarding ........information extraction. There was a psionic Beholder at the Prison who she was particularly fond of.

Being escorted away, he walks along, hands folded inside his sleeves.

"By the turds of a thousand demons. There will be no escape for a long time. So be it. Let it be written, let it be done. And let it be done with style."

Pausing, he motions to his captor and says "Dear sir, i find I have a confession to make, and some evidence to hand over to you, it will make your and my life simpler i feel".

Hograth was taking care to stay out of the officers ways, leaving them to their talking instead concentrating on what he did before, trying to get some order into this chaos.
Then he instructs a few namers to do as ordered by the factotum and leads Mustafa away to the interrogation room as he had planned.

At his captive's offer Hograth arches a brow in surprise. "You have my attention. Speak, but be quick about it."

Mustafa says "Of course, i'm sure you have urgent business to attend to"

He bows, and his fingers touch the sides of the remaining vials, reading the dots marked on each container.

"Smoke... fire... choking. This is going to be interesting" he thinks.

"Here good sir, take what you asked for"

He throws the vials at the feet of Hograth and is already turning towards the exit, calling up a learned ability to make his form ghost like (Ghostly Visage).

((OOC: He also has a couple of bottles of Ethrealness (given free by some kind person in the Bazaar) upon him which he would swig one of, but i've never been comfortable with the Ethereal being accessible from Sigil except by the LoP and her portals. So, ill leave whether I can use it up to the others. If no objection, he drinks, otherwise, he doesn't)).

//Im sorry I am really confused and likely to pull out of this thread, someone please answer how no one knows the escaping reporter is responsable, the harmonium barracks is a busy place, there are over a thousand harmonium troopers easily within sigil, and he was being held within the barracks near the cells where there would be guards coming and going constantly not to mention other people that would likely be found in the harmonium barracks. By the way aunties post is written less then a minute or two passed as he fled down the hall way, he was likely well ahead of the smoke when he started throwing fire bombs into the cells and the others as he made his way out of the building especially since he is making the fuse and trying to make everyone toward it, people would be flying into scene from all directions and most of them would pass by thet duty sergeants desk.

//By the way auntie, christopher DID hit mustafa, right in the face as he started yelling at him.

Fire and smoke do not bother the Half Orc at all and as for the stench... well- his opponent is caught in that too. Now lets see who can better cope with that.

As soon Mustafa makes his move he makes his own. Pulling a Scroll of Bigby's Forceful Hand from his Scroll collection and casts it on the fleeing man.... and he never even gets to drink from the bottle he drew from his pocket before the spell hits him.

(( And this is my last post in this thread. Feel free to ignore it by the way. It stopped to be fun and sadly I now even regret getting involved.

Have fun guys! ))

((Ah, missed the punch, but ok, he has a bloody nose, doesn't change much, unless Christopher's intention was to knock him senseless. In which case, Christopher should be the responsible for carrying him to safety of risk being court-marshalled as being responsible for the death of a prisoner.

As for your confusion. Well, that is the point. Nobody at this juncture could be exactly sure of what is going on. Sure, Christopher could be highly suspicious, but on the other hand, nobody in the Harmonium knew that Mustafa has skills as an alchemist or any spells, or anything. But at the time, an entire wing of the Barracks, is going up in fire and smoke. For most Harmonium the number one priority is the safety of their fellows, then the prisoners, and finally getting the fire dealt with.

Remember, not everyone in Sigil has special skills, most people are quite mundane, even some high up faction members. Its a fallacy that many people assume, that anyone with rank or power in Sigil is some sort of high level character. Think back to the days of D&D1 and 2 where NPCs could be simply classed as Level 0 nobles or commoners. This is a vast majority of (human type) people in Sigil, those who were born there, or ended up there through accidents of fate.

Therefore a lot of the Harmonium NPCs are simply regular Joes doing their jobs. I try not to bring levels into RP (otherwise the players who can spend day and night running circles in Carceri will always win any RP due to roll-play), so i did point out early on that for his level Mustafa had certain skills maxed. One of those was Bluff, which can be used to waylay and mislead people. Now, just keep in mind, many of those running towards the cells will never have seen or heard of Mustafa. The ones who had, are probably lying incapacitated by the smoke, or at the least disoriented or coughing their guts up.

I like to keep forum RP open to allow things to develop and change. Selibus provided that opportunity as we discussed possible scenarios via PM. The initial option he presented was straight capture, which would have been very boring and closed down the RP and meant that Mustafa back in cell, and waiting trial, from which, since certain Harmonium are now convinced (still no evidence been collected) that Mustafa is the one who started the fire... really? Zero evidence. He already had a story ready for when he returned to the Barracks after escaping to explain how the fire had started... yes, he planned to return to the Barracks after dumping the documents he swiped.

Summary: Smoke, fire, confusion, guard priorities are safety of all, not catching people they don't even know are prisoners (hell, he could be a lawyer!), Mustafa a skilled stealther and bluffer. Give the man a chance.

Cell, Trial, Death? Boring and a good way to kill stories and plot lines. I'm not asking for free reign, just good fun playing the bad guy for once. Remember, no bad guys, no RP for Harmonium except for standing around the Bazaar acting like jerks :D))
