Caterina would receive the letters and place them with the deluge of paperwork that now occupied her office. Slowly she would sip her cup of tea as she read through them all and penned her reply.

It appears we will be working more closely than anticipated.  Please see the enclosed personnel files for the three aides who will be assisting me I hope they will help with your initial background checks.

I would also like you to see the enclosed schedule of our shift patterns for the next thirty days.  I do hope that this information provided in advance will see to it that the security words you have specified will be provided in a prompt and efficient manner before our personnel arrive.

Regards

Caterina Arnders
Administrator A7
Department of Interfactional Affairs.
She enclosed the four personnel files one for each of the aides and one for herself (//Please pm me if you would like the details. I'll be happy to write something up for you.) As well as the schedules drawn up for the next thirty days.

The Harmonium may relish their nickname of Hardheads but the Fraternity are known as the Guvners and that is a name with connotations of its own. They were agents of the law and they would see to it that everyone answered to the law.

She would very carefully pick the team of three she would take from amongst the Fraternity's aides. They would number two modrones and a lich. The construct like outsiders and the undead would pursue their goals with a meticulous machine like purpose. There would be no deviation from the written shift patterns and no failure to meet protocol and certainly no response to any provocation from the watching Harmonium and most of all no excuse for the hardheads to refuse to cooperate. The single minded nature of the creatures in question would see to that. They would simply calmly carry on with their tasks. The whole investigation would grind on smoothly like the clockwork cogs of mechanus.

The team would begin examining each file and record in turn as with the previous investigation in the prison they would not be concerned with the content of the record in question but simply the seal that was used to sign it. They would make note of the number of each record that matched the seal that had come into the Fraternity's possession. They would not attempt to remove anything yet they would simply take notes.

Should they be refused access to any records they would offer any protest they would simply make a reference of the number of the file that was restricted as well as the name rank and badge number of the harmonium officer who refuses them access for reference later as they gathered evidence.

Finally given the nature of the undead and the construct like modrones they would not need to take breaks for food and rest the Fraternity's presence during the investigation would be kept constent.

-We are 'hard heads' hear us roar-, Measure One Cryptbane is on sight and at hand at all times during the Guvners visits however, despite profiles and background being provided, the Guvners find a severe dead end when presenting the fact that that some of the aids include moudrones and a lich.

"I am sorry, I cannot under any circumstances allow such a powerful undead being into such sensative areas nor allow them access to such critical documents and archives, and as for the modrones, while i have no disrespect for such wonderful creations they do seem to malfunction at the worse times and as I am in charge of security in this matter I would rather not have spontaneous malfunctions of automatons burning down our archives. You may bring non summoned, living beings with you in your investigations, provide their backgrounds are acceptable".

"As the the rest of your letter, the passwords will not be provided ahead of time, they will be provided to each individual person at the time of their arrival and they shall be different for each perosn, valid only so long as they remain on sight, the moment they leave the Harmonium grounds the passwords will be invalid and a new one provided should they return to campus, further more I suggest you utilize the time given as effeciently as possible, for upon further thinking of security measures i feel it prudent to allow each Guvner assisting, two entrys to the archives per day as long as they are no more then two hours apart, this allows ample time for rest periods and meal times while reducing time away from the work site and thus reducing chances for a security leak"

"I would also ask you use common sense in your investigations, you are investigating a certain matter and a potential liability involved, you have a specific badge and seal to guide you, your search should be limited to that channel of query. As long as your queries and searches pertain to that seal and individual in question we will be utterly cooperative as we have promised, but understand we have a great many military documents in our archives and many on-going matters of a very sensative nature, please tread very lightly".

As the Guvners make note of who refuses access to a document in detail so does Christopher and his men make a detailed note of which Guvners protest being denied access and information to which documents, going so far as to take note of the documents record numbers, whos involved, the guvner protesting the refusal of access, and even going so far as to move said files right to the movers and factors desks, the files flagged as "potential files of interest to guvners outside of their scope of investigation.

//I am assuming Cryptbane is making his concerns known through a letter, if that's the case that's how he would also receive his response.

Although I find it difficult to believe that the Harmonium are incapable of dealing with a single lich however please specify a level of undead that you have confidence your men have the competence to reliably over see and I will endevour to accommodate your concerns.

As for the passwords I believe you misunderstand me my request is simply that knowing where our aides will be and when they you will of course be present to issue them and they will not have to wait upon arrival after all the quicker we are allowed to search the quicker this will be done.

During the search, Caterina recovers some documents (using the seal as a guide) that instruct the Harmonium cut their Hive patrols to half (this is before the sniping incident, as the date is before that) and another that has the remaining patrols wandering into the more dangerous areas of the Hive.

More digging is needed

She would have the aides working on the case (when some suitable ones were finally agreed with the harmonium.) Make a note of the number of the files and their location in the archive but as long as the investigation is underway nothing would be moved. Yet.

A simple letter response to lady Arnders.

"I am sorry for the inconveniance but due to several recent reports across the planes and especially in Sigil related to this approaching "moon threat", and an on going investigation around some high profile individuals undead are not allowed within the harmonium grounds unless they serve the Harmonium or are in the holding cells, and even then they are placed under the strictest watch until current situations resolve, I am sorry this is non-negotiable".

Additionally *gasp* If said situation reports are looked for in the Archive those who go looking are removed from the area, with the simple statement "Those cases are for need to know personal only, and you dont need to know".

I hope this letter finds you in good health. I am writing to discuss a matter of importance in the pursuit of Order and Law. As you are intimately aware, one of our Administrators, one Caterina Arnders, is investigating an issue that has the potential to cause a fair amount of damage and embarrassment within the Triad should it be left unchecked. Both of our Factions have come to an agreement, previously signed by myself and you, to see this investigation through in an efficient and orderly manner. Security concerns have been settled and privacy concerns have been guaranteed. It seems, though, that the Measure youÂ’ve put in charge has taken it upon himself to stonewall the investigation at every opportunity.

Now IÂ’m not sure why he would see the need to do this unless he had little faith in both of our ability to maintain contractual protocol already agreed to or he has personal reasons unknown to us both, but whatever the issue is I can tell you with great certainty that this does little to expedite this matter or solve the current issue being investigated.

We both wish this issue properly investigated, solved and put to rest. It will take criminal elements off of the streets and make the ranks of the Harmonium and Fraternity more secure. Everybody wins.

I ask you as a personal favor to see what you can do to make this process easier and quicker for Administrator Arnders. I would be indebted to you should you make this happen. The sooner we can complete what needs to be done, the sooner Order and Law can be served. We are allies in this task and the need to work towards an amicable conclusion is great.

My thanks for your time

Despite yet another baffling problem Caterina would preserver and go around it just as she had the ones before.

Please see the enclosed personnel files for the team of six aides I will be using as well as the updated thirty day schedule.  All are human or plane touched.  Although the size of the team has doubled there will be only three on site at any given time as with the previous schedule.  If you have any other concerns you are aware of where to reach me.

The Fraternity's presence would remain constant even if it would alter to allow the new team to rest. The aides would take advantage of Cryptbane's constant presence on site to be sure that they always had somewhere to go for the required password. The situation reports and those who refused access to them would be added to the list with the others.

A letter arrives in the hands of lady Arnders.

"I have reviewed the roster of aides you have provided and I have cleared them for access to the Archives, good hunting lady Arnders just be mindful of the restrictions put in place, other then that if we can in anyway assist you please let me or the handful of men selected for this task force know".

//This post is in no way influenced by the post of the mover above, ICly measure one cryptbane is finally satisfied that the task force is as secure as can be..for now

The Fraternity aides would continue with their work and for now just gather numbers and names. As one would expect from the functionaries of law they would obey all the regulations that are imposed upon them. Garen would find that a rather expensive bottle of Enigma wine has been left at his desk with a bow wrapped around it.
