This old creature surprised the namer. She expected many other things to open the door, but not the kobold.

Despite this, Ra'zeth remained civil and even bowed in respect to this Fated. Sill hurried to follow in suite, carefully listening.

When she was asked of opinion, girl voiced it.

"I think jink can be handled. It will be harder if the fear is used to avoid making the deals official.

As for bug sweep, I think it will be easier to check the dorms first. Our soldiers are dispatched there.

So our worry is for Factol to not be taken by surprise? Why don't we find him first to give him the proper defenses?"

"We do not yet know where the Duke is yet. However I suggest to get some guards cleared you can use to keep him safe. The dorms are a good idea."

"I'll check zhe dorms and other high-risk areas... you disperse zhe wands and the necessary information, zhen tell me if you see any trustworthy muscle." Ra tells Sil, and if they had nothing else to add, he'd politely bow and continue his screening in the Dormitories and Mess halls.

Not having much to say, Sill started to think as Ra'zeth moved out to the dormitory buildings.

She had no way to check the whole tower of Records, so she diced to check out one building to look for possessed and find muscles at the same time.

So, the girl stepped forth to search the Rowan Academy...

The Academy is busy as always, a few are training, a few are challenging each other, a factotum collecting the fees.

Sill's presence is nothing out of the ordinary and the factotun, a bald earth genasi, adresses her with low, rumbling voice:

"Coming to train? Want to challenge someone?"

The blue eyes quickly scanned each of them, feeling their tense attitude and attempts to hide their unease. She did not wield the official badges of Takers, but she still wondered if they could be spies for the roaming invaders.

Only one way to find out.

"Attention, please! I have official orders for dispatch with specific commands, which I have on a scroll here. I will take it out and read it."

The pouch opened and the scroll was taken and unrolled, lips opening to inhale a breath of air dramatically. But instead of saying any directives, drow started reading divine words of power, the spell coming to life and forming ancient sign of purity in the air. [uses scroll of Cerulean Sign]

Carefully, she looked around the training halls. She checked for the most proficient warriors. But she also looked for anomalies. Something suspicious or the likes.

"Why, thank you for offer. The training goes well without incidents?"

On the first glance she sees nothing unusual. However there is one man who stays away of the others watching the othrs train, interact.

The factotum's answer confirms Sill's observation:

"Nothing unusualy but for Namer Xal-Teris. He accepts no challenges, just watches those other two namers fight. His friends are busy challenging everyone, regardless if they can win or not- and he just watches every battle carefully."

In the meanwhile Ra'zeth finds another three infected and one possessed taker in the dormatories, the wand sufficient to free them. He also gets reports from the other Fared who have been given wands and they all proceed quickly. On the end of the day 117 Fated have been freed and cleared from possession.

And not too early- the duke has returned to Sigil, heading to the Hall of Speakers immediately, taking a small squad of reliable Takers- handpicked for their abilities in unarmed combat- with him.

Looking at the three, who clearly looked very suspicious, especially after confirmation of their activities, Sill pointed at them, then turned to face instructor with charming smile.

"I have few appointments for namers, and these three look very promising. Can you summon them to me? Urgent orders from higher-ups."
