:: We need to be careful about how this... alliance... affects our reputation. Reservations exist, deserved or not.
Yet this Partnership you suggest sounds acceptable. I will invest moderately and if it pays off we can talk about more. ::

"I agree. I have no problems with an alliance but be cautious of the merkants if you intend to take them on. I say at first undercut one of the products and see how they react first.
And as for the syndicate, as long as they remain an investor i see no problem unless some may try to take more than they are deserved to have."

Remember... the intent is to have the Syndicate, as a single entity, invest in the Consortium... not individual members, although we can certainly discuss that one on one if anyone is interested. The investment would come out of current coffers, not individual ones.
So... if there are no other questions...
Perhaps it's time to vote.

"I spoke of not lowering prices and staying competitive, but selling consistently at a loss to force out competition- then rising prices higher than they were as the sole supplier. Rarely possible through a business's own reserves, though easily done through outside sources of funds." Nienna shrugs, seeming content.
"I doubt that will be the case, nor do I believe you the sort to misrepresent your finances and outlook. While I would see the records and more in depth information for a complete understanding, there is little reason to hold this back due to a simple triviality."
"Yes from me."

Charles notes each vote, and with the few votes already purchased from the other members, the motion passes easilly. He records it in the Syndicates records and sets the pen down. He was going to have to find another who thought like him... who knew the proper way of doing business... the often 'quiet way', as things were going to get very busy over the next few months.
He would have to comb the local talent to find such ((another PC with hope)).
With that being said;
"Worry not, Nienna... if I am anything, I am an Indep. The market, and those who call it home, needn't fear me. As a matter of fact I would be more than willing to open discussions with any of them to better the prices for which they purchase from suppliers now... something to strengthen the market with."
*he would nod politely to Nienna as he mentioned such*
"The Consortium will begin preparations right away. Our accountants will ensure all runs smoothly.
Now... while we're all here I have one final suggestion and then I'll open the floor to who ever wants to speak.
Over the coming weeks I'd like to have a get together organized in the city above. A gathering of the "movers and shakers" of the city and mercantile community. A chance for us, as a group, to introduce ourselves properly. Of course not everyone needs be there and not everyone need make their position public but I feel, if we're going to have any solid chance of gaining influence and respect in Sigil... we must make an effort to make friends."

"Very well then, Charles. I would be interested in such, I have begun expanding my own business and charity- and look forward to possible partnerships." Nienna takes a sip of her ever-present glass. "And I meant no offense, after Hildmor however- I have to ask questions that should not need asking."

Upon arriving upon Annia's territory. Issanthis' messenger would notice, presuming it was allowed the mental faculty to notice things that the number of undead that patrol the place has nearly doubled. The messenger would be detained by the skeletons that act as guards but unharmed should they offer no resistance. Eventually they would be brought to the attention if a tall vampire who would take the message and send the messenger on their way.
From the reaction one could guess that Annia is aware of what has happened and security has been heightened as a result.
