The Few: Rp Thread

The inside of the apartment was buzzing with activity, but Loona was unable to enter due to the windows purposefully being shut. Still, from her vantage she could appreciate no less than 8 investigators (all presumably of the Harmonium) doing a careful sweep of the area. She could see a main living area as well as a kitchen and a hallway that presumably led to bedchambers. The furnishings were modest but neatly kept. At least from her angle, there was no sign of any kind of struggle inside. There was a middle-aged man and a middle-aged woman speaking to two investigators with notepads off to one corner. She couldn't quite make out the words.


Within minutes, the Harmonium officers had pegged Herbert as a gentle-giant and payed him little heed as he continued. He could see that the torn fabric was close to the ground, lending credence (but my no means certainty) to the hypothesis that she may have just tripped and fell-over. The ledge over the roof was approximately 1 meter high. Herbert's height also allowed him a good vantage of the immediate area, and he noticed a black-haired tiefling female in the building across the road carefully observing the scene below from an apartment window.

Herbert waves at the tiefling, and asks the harmoniam, if they bother listening, who she is.

Previously, Loona, Losa, Herbert, and Daniel managed to weasel their way into a Harmonium murder investigation by appealing to the pride of Fated Factor Ziporath.

Last we saw them, they were searching the roof for clues into their investigation. Loona managed to locate a clean, white feather nestled in-between two wooden boards.

Loona swoops over from the boards from which she found the feather, landing atop Herbert's head.

Wiping her feet off, she reaches down to display the feather to the rest of the group, smiling, certain she'd done something noteworthy.

Losa looked over at the Pixie with a grin. "And what have you found there?" His attentions stays but a short moment as he is investigating a torn piece of cloth at the edge of the rooftop.

Reaching over to Losa's nose, Loona flicks the feather in a flourish, displaying it proudly.

"A feather, clearly... And a familiar looking one at that I think!"

She drops the item into Losa's hand and strikes a pose, still atop Herbert.

Daniel stops rotating his skull in search for anything of interest long enough to walk over and look at the feather.

"Yes, that feather looks rather familiar or at least similiar."

"Thank you, my dear," the Scarlet haired man said.

The two Harmonium officers on the roof made a note of the find, and despite their initial resistance to an independent group conducting a concurrent investigation, they offered appreciative nods.

The torn bit of cloth on the ledge had already been noted by the officers and they remained just as in the dark as anyone else as to the exact events that took place before and during the fall - and whether the ripped cloth was the cause or merely a symptom of her fatal tumble.

About 10 minutes had passed since the investigation started, leaving the group with another 20 before they could be legally ejected from the scene. However, due to their cooperativity in working with the Harmonium officers and having proven their worth somewhat - that 20 minutes could be more a guideline than a hard rule.

Time could continue being spent on the roof looking for more evidence, or the search may continue downstairs in the apartment or on the ground where the body lay.

The officers on the roof then asked the group to submit the feather into Harmonium custody.
