Tradegy In The Earth Plane

Recently a tragedy occurred in the Elemental Plane of Earth. For reasons unknown the known stable portals leading to the realm have been sealed from the elemental plane's side.
Trade dealing with precious gems and minerals originating in this area are briefly disrupted as unstable and random portals are used for traffic.
The Elemental Prince of Earth, Ogrémoch has made his way to a chamber deep inside the the plane contacting other indigenous beings. A plan of action will be slow but forthcoming.
No word of this event from the factions except that each will say officially that they will look into the matter when the issue affects them immediately.
//since it is impossible for me to shut down the portal in the lower ward, icly it will be considered closed for the next few days and the portal that does appear can be used as a random one that appears in the lower ward. During those times when PC's use the portal, it is assumed that traffic is heavy, mostly with merchant that deals with gems and minerals.
