A City Of Doors Unprepaired?

Talk and chant was that an invasion was comming. No one believed it, The Lady would flay anyone stupid enough to try... wouldnt she?
The worry was that with all the recent abductions, the insight of some cult, group, collective? Whatever, A Sect known only as The Shadowsworn were on the rise, taking berks off the street.
The rest of the city had its own war to get ready for, and time was short, how they all prepaired was individually up to them. Weather they ran, faught, banded together or stood apart, it was all a matter of choice.
After all, that was what Sigil was about really wasnt it? Choice?
Now, more than ever, the city was the last real bastion of equality in the multiverse and some cutters would undoubtedly do what ever they could to defend it. But others? Some people were daring enough to want a peice of the place for themselves...
And they'd go to any length to get it.
Harmonium was already dispatching troops on more regular patrolls since the inital bulk of Shadowsworn attacks. Though divided due to the situation in The Hive, Hardheads started to look more popular with the citizens. After all, they were actually doing their job, protecting people?
Of course, not everyone was enjoying that prospect, faction rivals especially worried that it would make it harder for them to gain a peice of the cake. Takers started to play their card by offering immediate protection insurance to anyone willing to pay, of course protection money would have to be paid on a regular basis.
Doomguard were also particularly annoyed with affairs, with the Hardheads getting too close to the Armoury. They decided to offer any Chaotic cutter free weapons on mass-scale during the time of crisis, to keep up with the situation.
Guvners on the other hand spent alot of time in quiet solitude avoiding the other factions, perhaps out of a hidden shame, or something else? They tried to prevent people from being involved.
Their higher ranks kept quiet and in the dark about the chants going on. They onpurposley ignored it as hypocritcal nonsense, reinforcing the fact that the lady of pain would intervene the moment any kind of ill concieved invasion would dare to occur.
...But even their superiours were in part, doubtful.
