Forum Rp: The Fate Of Colo Lane

Dusk was falling gently upon the streets of the bazaar. Bazaar Guard Captain Lane strode down an alleyway after hearing a noise of interest. Despite his numerous years of experience in the bazaar, he wasn't familiar with these particular alleys. The territory was not oft-traveled, and it didn't help that the Dabus shifted the landscape every-so-often to fit Her Dread Majesty's design. As officer Lane's metallic boots carried him quickly into the alley, all he saw was emptiness. The paladin steeled himself, for he fully expected a lurker to strike from an unexpected angle. Tired and at the tail-end of an almost 15 hour shift, Colo Lane was not at his sharpest as he nervously glanced about.
The Sigilian eve was humid today, and beads of sweat speckled his pale forehead as his dark brown eyes scanned the seemingly deserted alley. He absently moved the back of his gauntleted-forearm across his face, and the sweat beads coalesced into drops that trickled to the ground.
That was all it took.
A loud, crackling sound emerged and the hard ground immediately became soft and malleable like quicksand. 1 second later, it became even less viscous.. like ooze. Of course.. Colo Lane grunted in shock and dismay as it dawned upon him that he must have inadvertently opened up a portal... likely into the Para-elemental Plane of Ooze- as judged by the texture of the ground which now threatened to swallow him.
He struggled with three free limbs, and shrieked in surprise as the fourth -his left leg- was dragged down into the depths of the portal (and now starting to suck the remainder of his form within the nebulous depths). Years of focus and determination kept him from being sucked into the ground-level portal, and he struggled to stay out. His strength could only get him so far, and he now seemed to be in a stalemate with the portal - his palms were bent into a clawed position as he desperately dug into hard-ground, attempting to move away.
The vulnerable man looked towards the entrance of the alley to see if anyone would happen by.
((Here is how the game will work: Any interested in being involved should post their interest here - it would be nice to have a pool to choose from that included members of the Triad, members of the Revolution, and random Cagers . After a few days and once people have posted, I will roll a die in game twice to determine which *2* players will be involved. Player 1 will be the first one to act, and Player 2 will be the second one to act- exactly 2 minutes after Player 1.
You can take any IC action you wish.
Player 1 will more likely be the one acting and influencing the fate of Colo Lane - unless s/he chooses to ignore him - while Player 2 will be the one reacting to Player 1's action. IF Player 1 is still present when Player 2 arrives and they take conflicting actions- then I will moderate here. I will only reveal the identity of Player 1 to the public. Player 2 will make him/herself known when posting the reaction - so it will be a surprise to Player 1))
