((Backstory involving event))
After spending considerable effort in consecrating a "garden" of bones in order to release the otherwise doomed spirits within, a Lich appeared behind the cadre of Taker commissioned mercenaries. It was shortly dispatched, but his phylactery was not to be found nearby. They returned to Sigil with the desired (give or take) cargo and were paid and went on their way. However, Brogar . . .
((intro new information))
However, Brogar asked the portal to remain available for use, agreeing to pay the fees associated with such. He inquired as to the name of the plane wherein all this had occurred, addressing the kobold the while. With an answer, he asked for where he might find passage to Tradesgate. The cargo recovered in the bone "garden" and the cargo that caused the Doomguard and Harmonium to butt heads ((in a different DM event)) both originated in Tradesgate. Time to investigate!
Conspiratorial plots and schemes come naturally to Brogar, and, so, he has a feeling of confidence that he might be able to get to the bottom of both endeavors. He is not the best orator, but he has the know how from spending much time living in the Hive ward. Knowledge is currency.
((Main inquiries:
1)What was on the shipment that was requisitioned by the Takers?
2)Who (in Tradegate) might have access to bulk amounts of older pandemonic ingots? ((separate DM event, but while in Tradesgate, might as well))
3)Who advised the caravan that passed through the bone "garden?" Who commissioned them, and who mandated that they pass that way?
4)The possible name and any other knowledge that might be acquired about the lich in bone "garden." Brogar would have gathered the location from the kobold who holds the portal to the place, to help in his figuring where and what and who in order to help put together a picture of just what happened, and how he might prepare himself to seek this particular Lich's phylactery.))
((By the way, I hope I put this in correct sub-forum. Apologies if not.))

It takes only a day of travel through the Outlands and then Brogar arrives at the Town of Tradegate- the Gatetown to Bytopia.
It is hard to miss, gray walls surrounding the place which is shaped like a star and Brogar finds it easy to enter- the locals used to arriving travellers and merchants.
However he also realizes quickly that everything has a cost in Tradegate and nothing is really free- and the only faction present in any greater numbers are the Indeps.
After some asking around and some haggling he is shown to a stall in the Grand Bazaar where he is met by a middle aged gnome who is known to equip and organize caravans going to many places.
His name is Norldur Gosp and he gestures to a comfortable chair under a sunsail, a scantly clad human girl serving some drinks.
After some haggling about the price he answers Brogar's questions:
"The shipment of caravan number 5544 was Timbers and Silks for the city of Sigil."
"The Caravan worked for the Purple Crane Consortium. I heard them chatting about taking a new route because they feared a Taker ambush."
"About those ingots I know nothing. Hardheads and Sinkers and Takers are not exactly welcome here and outside their precious Sigil they are often on the recieving end when it comes to brawls between them and the Indeps.
But ask around, perhaps someone else knows something."
However when he talked to Nosark back in the Hall of records the Kobold mentioned that he was doind some research about this Lich as well. It seems the creature was once called The Gatherer. His or her name and race has been long forgotten. The Bone Garden was probably one of its creation- a piece of Necromantic Art only this wicked creature can enjoy.
However there are hints that this one was once a sensate?
((Cannot answer for Liquid's event of course. ))

Brogar mentally memorizes the information. The first time the lich appeared, it seemed to want to talk. Perhaps the second time, it can be coaxed to speak as well. Any information about it's past life might be an valuable asset when approaching the Gatherer.

Brogar would inquire with the Dustmen, asking if they had ever heard of The Gatherer or the Bone Garden and for any information they would share upon them.
Brogar would also inquire with the Sensates as to if any of their number were known to have become liches.

Brogars is greeted by a pale, sickly man who introduces himself as Initiate Folgg.
"The Bone Garden... yes. We have a legend about it. Nasty it is, capturing souls as ghosts, making them relive their emotions and feeling over and over again.... denying them true death for all eternity. Is what would be Hells for us, I think.
The Gatherer? Never heard of this one. Is he the one responsible?"
The Sensates first deny that any of their numbers choose Lichdom but after a bit of digging Brogar finds three names:
The first is Elnat Dell- an Elvish bard who chose Lichdom as he felt he needs more time to fibish his greates piece of work.
The second Loona Mimelas- a human sorceress who recorded her transformation in a sensory stone.
The last is Hilmar Longar, a Half Elven wizard and cleric who was dabbling in many forms of art.

Brogar heads to underground lake to gather some skeleton parts and to the hermit down below in order to acquire some other distasteful items, such as imp skulls. If Einat Dall was responsible for the Bone Garden, he might prefer the company of someone to listen to his tunes instead of gardening. If Hilmar Longar, perhaps some company and inspiration for forms of art other than the Bone Garden.
If the Gatherer can create the Bone Garden, perhaps he can create some"thing" that could dissuade him from cultivating it further. A friend. A partner. We all want to be loved and artists wish nothing more than for their art to be appreciated. Perhaps sculpting or pottery. Painting and tapestry weaving. Basket weaving. Something that would not require the Gatherer to be forever destroyed.
Another possibility, should the Gatherer refuse basket weaving . . . is to make the Bone Garden a place of respite for ghosts and weary spirits. He could make a second Sigil! Undead only! Imagine the conversations he could have. The things he could learn. An audience for his art that appreciates being a part of it.
Brogar must do what is best for all those already in the Bone Garden. Not just run in swinging a weapon. Perhaps the Gatherer can be made to see what he has done, and undo it in order to begin art anew.

Soon Brogar has an extensive collection of undead parts- from whispy shadowstuff to ghostly goo and several bones and skulls- enough to create a skeleton or two.
Of course those would be cobbled together and most likely unfit to be animated but they are still impressive.
Some additional research tells Brogar that his plan might work- the Lich might be probably mad but it is still an artist, still a Sensate.

After a peaceful and somewhat serene meeting with the lich, Elnat Dell, Brogar acquired some notes on lichdom, written in elvish and celestial. He shall endeavor to translate them with help of cross-reference primers and guides to languages, and, hopefully gain rudimentary understanding or better in those languages as well as a somewhat accurate translation of the notes.

Translating this writings is not easy at all- as the lich said even this notes are are piece of art, the language elaborate anf often needlessly complicated.
Also instead of just using the general terms for alchemical or arcane components some rather colourful artistig terms and periphrases are used.
(( INT check please, also if Brogar uses some spells to help in the process please let me know ))
