The cacophony flooded her mindscape with an unworldly choir. Her head spun, too many thoughts crawled through her mind, too many aberrant wills fought to direct her, coerce her, use her.
Rannia slumped in the Harmonium cell and drew her knees in close. Her tail crept from the folds of her tattered cloak and resumed her etchings, the barbed tip scratching furrows into the floor.
The lines curled into shapes, the shapes into runes, the runes into signs - Terrible etchings that warred with the reality around them, each a tiny keyhole that peeked into a realm of madness. Her gaze fell upon one of her etchings and a pervasive wrongness wormed into her skull that made her eyes itch as the rational parts of her mind tried to avert her gaze.
The cacophony burst into her again, innumerable consciousnesses' thoughts overwhelming her own. Though they manifested the ideas in different ways, her crumbling mind pieced together their meanings as one.
They were pleased.
This was exactly as they wished.
The tiefling trembled and hugged her knees tightly. They had used her again, made manifest their will through her lips and limbs and now she was bound in the Barracks awaiting charges and further interrogation.
She spared an absent thought, a moments' pity, for whosoever the poor sod who checked upon her next might be. The Cacophony would reach out from Between and hollow out his skull and nest within, yet another broken doll for them to work their will through.
Her pity turned inwards, fear surged into her. It was within the realms of possibility that she might be identified, that the Harmonium might piece together her identity.
That the Godsmen would be on their way...
She called out from behind her bars.
"She beckons shelled ears near, her words will nest! Her words will nest if only they are heard! Spined-Shells, Come to her, drag words from her lips! She must speak the words and be cast free!"
Her calls and howls resounded, surely if she made enough noise, someone would come...
Surely...

A letter arrives at the Barracks.

After a hearing with the legal council of prisoner JH6475G, the tiefling known as Rannia held on charges of impersonating an officer of The Harmonium it is the courts finding that she does not posses the mental faculties to be held responsible for her actions. This would make it impossible for a trial to provide any kind of lawful verdict.
Instead it is the will of the court that she be transferred to a secure unit at The Gatehouse where she can be kept away from The Cage's populace, observed and treated. Please see the enclosed court order for her transfer to Bleak Cabal Cabal custody.
