Visiting Rats

in a hopeful moment of respite from any event wuhi descends in the sewers, cautiously moving toward where the cranium rats packs usually hold territory.
she would wield no weapon ready (unless attacked along the way) hoping to show she's not there to assault, but of course isn't defenseless.

although, before trespassing in the rats and wererats territory, if she finds other denizens or persons along the way that dont jump at her throat and purse on sight (or if they do she'd just beat them then interrogate), she would ask those if anything unusual is going on about the cranium rats

Rumours say that the Cranium Rats are rather nervous these days, staying out of sight, rarely moving in groups smaller than 4-5. They also seem to avoid certain places in Undersigil now but so far are not willing to communicate their intents.

Not even their wererat allies seem to know- which also leads to tensions...

she'd try inquire about which exact places are avoided in undersigil (may compensate with food or jinks for the infos)

One place is below the Deep Crypts of the Mortuary, another one under the Barracks. The third which seems to be the one that scares the rats most is below the gatehouse.

There are even rumours of some rats attacking others that lingered in this area too long.

wuhi's look freezes briefly as some of her suspicions found confirmation. she wont go to those places now though , she'll need allies if anything down in those holes was to be attempted.
although she inquires how those places below the three faction headquarters can be accessed, and if from there one can enter the quarters themselves. always warily keeping her eyes peeled as she walks the filthy tunnels of the catacombs and sewers.
she'd try to look for a cranium rat or a group of them, but not expecting much results.

The ways are described to her and she is shown even to where those tunnels start. However most lacals are not keen to deal with the Rats and what scares them must be bad- so they are happy to stay outside those areas.

A pack of rats is easily found close to the Mortuary. They do not attack her- instead they seem to be in trance, all seven of them.

she inspects the surroundings and the pack of rats, waiting some moments , then, if nothing noteworthy jumps to the eye she would flick a pebble near before them to se if they react, staying back

There is nothing to see... at first. Then she notices a fading shape, something like some unreal looking insect or wormlike creature slowly evaporating, the rats staring at the creature.

The tossed pebble is ognored but when the thing the rats stared at is gone they turn there attention to the Wuhi, small eyes in oversized heads watching her. However they do not attack, not this time.

::Go away:: Many voices say in her head... but its not really words, more pictures and concepts. ::Go away. It is not safe.::

she stares back to the pack, speaking words in her mind hoping they catch them , if not, she will talk normally
