Blowing Air On Fire

[*Midnight]

Yanek listens.

"You're right the idea of having to fall in line with The Harmonium is galling, but we cannot defeat them right now, better to bide our time. As for your involvement it was quite deliberate. Who do you think would wish to see the Faction plunged into destruction most, who would want to see is plunged into conflict even if it would see our own premature doom?"

He ask Mauric the question but it is clear he has an answer in mind.

[*Krayt]

"Of course there is those among their ranks that craves a more agrresive pursuit of ultimate control. And I belive they are quite as eager to get rid of us as we wish them gone. You belive that this orchestrated from any prominent members of their faction? If so such an investigation would prove quite hard as they are looking for me. Surely you must have spys inside their circles of groups? The dark of this is still too dense."

[*Midnight]

Yanek smiles, there is a glint in his eye, apparently it us this kind of game that makes him feel alive.

"I suspect this to be The Factol's doing. I suspect she either wishes to drive us into a war with The Harmonium or to force us to oppose her plans. It is in the flames of conflict that our Faction is forged. Let us not disappoint her. Let us be the entropy of her designs. If you saw the man again could you recognize him?"

[*Krayt]

He can't help but to chortle behind his mask.

"Let this maelstrom grind us all into nothingness."

Stroking the cheekbones on his mask he ponders.

"I could probably yes. But I presume that this one is well hidden. Unless it is a regularly used tool. Perhaps it is ready to be baited into use? If it is a double agent perhaps it could be played into our hand.. What is known of this one so far? And how will the pieces be moved from here on?"

[*Midnight]

Yanek does not seem to share in the joke.

"If I am correct in my assessment then The Factol will have gone outside the Faction otherwise there is the chance her bait, that being you might discover her plan. For this kind of thing they would have used a group of seasoned killers. The Mercykillers would be my choice but they would not risk their alliance with The Harmonium. The Revolutionary League would be more than capable but if they kill a Mover then they will claim the credit for it, and this requires discretion. So to my mind that leaves one group. One group with both the means and the will, as well as the motivation to keep this a secret. I think that would make the obvious choice The Temple of the Abyss. Now as I am aware the Harmonium recently arrested one of the Temple's cult leaders over the murder of a Harmonium Measure. If I were at the Temple I would try to silence her. They will strike again."

Yanek smiles now, just a little as he reveals the attention he has been giving the situation.

[*Krayt]

Good thinking Pentar we need the fiends and the more they involve themselves the better. He thought.

"Who was arrested? And which demon lord did this one serve? What I yet not see is the need to stop them if they wreak havoc among the ranks of our enemies why not simply let them. They will start the war for us an none can blame us for breaking the Blood Pact."

"But learning more of her plan couldn't hurt of course. So capture this assasin and extort a thread that can be reveal next hand would seem the quicketst way for now. Why don't we create a set up of our own this time?"

[*Midnight]

"They are wreaking havoc amongst our enemies. Unfortunately our enemies believe that it is us wreaking havoc. So we will redirect them. I do not know who if anyone who has been arrested, but once they do the temple's plot will unravel and we will need you to identify the killer. In return you will be allowed to survive and both you and the faction will endure to spread entropy another day."

[*Krayt]

"We?" He interrupted quickly. "There is always a question of whom that truely is in that little word." He hinted distrust in his tone.

"Didn't my lord just say one of their leaders was arrested for the murdering of a hardhead officer? And what if they can link this all the way unto our Factol's desk? It is dangerous aiding them for we will receive nothing in return but respite."

"Furthermore I doubt they will simply let me go in the light of all that has happend. A public testimony against the Temple's assasins is just as much a death sentence as one issued by the triad. I am not a fool that grasps for the slimmest shred of hope where there is none. The solution won't be offered by another I know that much. Still it is my lords wishes that we simply wait for the killer to be caught?"

[*Midnight]

"The Factol is beyond their reach personally. She will offer them some scapegoat or sacrifice. Someone who could be considered a loose cannon, someone whom they already blame."

He flashes Mauric a smile.

"This would deprive me of an asset I would rather divert their attention elsewhere. If you prefer the other course of action I suppose it can be arranged though. I must say your offer on behalfof the Faction is most altruistic. I shall allow you to decide what course of action to take of course."

[*Krayt]

"With the verdict of the temple's assassins or the triads that asset will be removed regardless. If the choice stands between how to die I am quite adamant to die while doing most harm to those that tries to kill me."

"Once more they will not simply let me go for merely pointing out the killer. If I would receive some forms of guaranties that would of course change the prospect. What is the plan for now as surely there is one ready?"
