-- Brindas --
The House of Healing, Sigil.

The parchment that Brindas takes from the box seem to be all manner of important documentation, leading him to the conclusion that perhaps the geared chest was used as some kind of safe. A few scraps of paper are completely destroyed, soggy messes in pools of ink. Others appear to be tax manifests, and deeds to various properties - each of them splattered with black ooze.

The last of the parchment he pulls from the wooden confines sends a shiver down his spine and presses a familiar weight on his chest, a single edge torn and jagged. It is without a doubt, these were the pages he was seeking; known to him before even attempting to pry their folds open. These too, are splattered with dark ink. As he flattens the two pages out on the table, however, the Doctor realizes some patches of text remain unblemished and salvageable.

He sets to reading what patches of text he can. He neither looks at Krystelle nor answers Trissa. Who knows what will happen if he invites another person over? Set it on fire or otherwise upend everything... if hardly mattered. It was probably hopeless, but it wasn't going to stop him from checking one last time.

The nymph does not seem to care about the lack of reply happy to skip through the building in search for the doctor or maybe more to sedate her own curiosity about the place. she does however stop at any patients the doctor might have offering some magical healing to hassen their recovery

She pauses eating for a moment then tries to smile reassuringly. I'm going to help you rebuild your business, both financially and physically don't you worry we will have you up and running before you know it, perhaps even better!.

She looks at the couple and is reminded for a moment of her own husband Gregory back on Toril, she can easily imagine him sitting up late at night in his splendid red robes as he calculates the days income.

"Or...is there another problem that troubles you?" she queries.

Krystelle withdraws into the corner of the room and continues to shake and
hyperventilate. She breaks into a cold sweat, and for ten minutes, all of the
symptoms build into a full-blown panic attack, to gradually decline over the
following twenty minutes. Only once her breathing finally returns to a proper
pace does she speak, her gentle monotone drifting out across the quiet.

"....Acetone."

-- Brindas --
The House of Healing, Sigil.

The pages are much like the others within the book, abyssal text with notes in common made here and there along it's edges. As Brindas begins to peruse the missing pages and gleam what he can from it's content, he comes to realize this is no contract at all. Inky splotches blotting out patches of text, it details the connection between Succubus and tome.

One phrase, written in common, stands out the from the rest.

"This is her prison."

The kindly couple trade glances once more, their expressions a mix of awe and surprise. For a few moments they seem lost for words. Sure enough, this wealthy stranger had promised to aid them as the walls of their Inn came tumbling own around then, but here and now in the flesh was a different matter entirely.

"No, Ml'ady." comes the reply from Ann, the woman having dipped her head to such unbelievable promises of aid. Then, "Yes." Her head lifts slightly, blue-grey eyes weaving over their guest in earnest. "This town, it suffers.... grieves, for many lost in unfortunate events. The people, they are not bad people but they are hurting for many reasons..."

Her voice trails off, the conversation picked up by Jareth with a gently posed question. "What did happen to the demon, M'lady?"

Krystelle pulls herself to her feet and returns to the table where Brindas has laid
out the pages. Still visibly shaken, she would draw near to look upon the ruined
pages.

"....Acetone." she repeats, in that soft monotone so typical of her.

"Forgers use it on my home prime, to remove the amount from bank notes
while preserving the signature -- or did, until banks began printing notes with
faint backgrounds in soluble ink. For our purposes, perhaps new, wet ink will
dissolve faster than old, dry ink -- and if not, I may be able to glean some
information from the impressions left by the quill when it was written. Those
who would summon Tanar'ri are typically of a temperament prone to pressing
hard upon the page whilst committing invocations to paper."

Perhaps her sudden verbosity is a way of pushing down her fear?

Brindas would indeed look for if he could find such a solution as Krystelle had suggested.

She thinks for a careful moment before responding.

"I don't know if it lives or not truth be told, when i saw it within the inn the thing wasn't in any real condition to negotiate and work things out so i had to use a variety of of tricks ive learned over the years to remove the fiend from causing anymore harm but rest assured the demon is likely to bother you no more".

She looks at the couple with a small look of concern.

"I know this city has gone through alot lately and suffers much, why dont you start at the beginning and fill me in and i will do what i can to help".

Krystelle, of course, knows the formula already, and could likely produce acetone with
whatever alchemical reagents the Doctor has on hand, should she be shown to a place
where she can do so. In fact, all she needs are her personal alembic, which, thankfully,
she keeps with her, access to Brindas' kitchen, and some common kitchen ingredients.

"...Eggshells. Vinegar. A stove." she states simply and softly. "Within three hours,
we will have acetone. If you have limestone or marble on hand, those would make
the process conclude more quickly -- as would a scroll of Extract Water Elemental."

(( OOC Note: Submitting my Alchemy roll early, as actually RPing the process requires a post
from Brindas. Hopefully he'll show her to the kitchen :P P.S.: I totally love this subscript tag,
and I hope you don't mind if I use it~ ))
