The Longest Night

[*Midnight]

Seeing him duck and dive Norman's foe feints its blade upwards drawing his guard only to reverse the direction quickly and strike at his exposed stomach. He feels jarring resistance then hears the sound of his maul split as a sharp pain caused by the monster's blade piercing his skin. His vision blurs and in his mouth he can taste blood, a thick red trickle stains the ground before him.

Thist casts his last spell at the monster, which is a combust spell. While it's attention is focused on Norman, Thist tries to circle behind the monster as it has sights on Norman and cast his spell then.

//sorry. My net connection is iffy.

[*Midnight]

Thist creeps around the flank of the monster. It focusses its attacks on Norman paying the wizard little heed. As Thist lunges forward the creature leans into its attack against the cleric, causing his grasp to sail over the monster's shoulder.

Again John fires two arrows at it, hoping the hell to end this once and for all.

The first shot sails over the target, but the second catches it in the ribs. It hissrs in pain blood dripping from its wounds. It is clearly dying, but it is not dead yet.

Norman stays on guard, still trying to parry and black and dodge whatever attacks the creature aims at him.

Out of spells, Thist slinks back a few feet, digging around for a scroll.. or three.

[*Midnight]

The monster raises its blade over the staggering Norman seemingly intent on striking a killing blow. It Snarls as it draws the blade back. And then shrieks as the arrow pierces its chest. It falls back to the floor dead leaving the three of them with the bodies of the two dead monsters and a whimpering dying dog.

John points to Norman and basically commands (military training kicking in);

See to him. Stop him from bleeding out!

He then moves to Ben and does the same. Taking bandages from his pack he tosses one to Thist and begins to apply the other to Ben
