The Longest Night

"Excatly, so go ahead champ." Thist takes a couple of steps back, grinning the whole time.

Norman eyes the items, then gathers some dirt and some stuff from the alchemical device, hoping tp match the weight of the items he wants to remove. With one hand he readies himself to scoop out the bottles and paper while at the same time lowering the stuff onto the pressure plate.

Then he hopes Pelor is with them...

Norman fills the bag and as he stands poised there is a tense silence. He snatches the bottles and quickly pushes the counter weight into place and there is silence as they watch and then....


nothing. Norman steps back loot in hand.

The priest seems outright surprised by his success, pockets the loot quickly, not bothering to check what they have found right now.

"Lets get out."

"About time." Thist makes his way upstairs only to stop seeing John in the door way. "We can slip out now" he asks.

"Careful!" Norman whispers. "There is still the trap."

He swallows hard, remembering what happened the first time but he knows well that he might not have a choice...

"Throw something on the traps to trigger them, then walk over them both. Like a sack of rice or something."
