As they are herded through the gates Dorian whispers to his companions.
"We need to find a place to confer. It is obvious our cover is known to be sham. We must decide on our actions. As the only Regulator here perhaps i can show a positive face to to the leaders here. Ayase can be our eyes and ears, and Mauric.... there may be a time and place for some more overt activities...." he leaves the final thought hanging.

Trying to shackel us with his structure is he. He will learn that those chains are broken the moment you can't enfoce it. He could still draw a map of the weakness of the fortification and defences but he had to do so with subterfuge they would no doubt be watching them. He looked to the young knight. You show promise young one.

ayase looks around, trying to make sure no one is within reach of hearing, then whispers back, without moving
''for now seems hard to determine the best course of action. either we come up with something terribly unexpected and effective that will let us get away with what we're here for, or we gather more informations before proceeding...''
////btw, where that ''within'' the presence wants to let them known is? bit confused on that point///

They had an agenda for bringing them here the warlock thought. So had Ramal. For himself or the destroyers was the question. Mariuc and many of his fellow destroyers rarely put any value on long term alliances, they too was to be ravaged and torn asunder. And of course the time comes to in a destroyers life to turn on the order. Perhaps this was the case with Ramal. It is one of the few beatiful things in existance indeed, as when the Balor shatter his bonds and rips its path open to greathood. When weakness is cast aside and one rely on ones own strengt to defy all order. It is your will that matter. If this was Ramals betrayal, he must have claimed some greater power himself from what source I wonder.. With the usual bane IF.

After Ayase has spoken Dorian remains silent, simply awaiting the response from the Robed man.

Ramal smiles broadly his mouth filled with a row of filed pointed teeth he shrugs at the question as he swaggers a little closer.
"What have I been doing here little sister? I have being making the most of being stuck here."
He continues to step closer with an almost drunken swagger.
"I first arrived in this charming place."
He gestures around the walls of the city.
"Then after spreading sweet sweet entropy amongst the Heronites I was encouraged to leave. So I went and spread entropy amongst the demons instead, but now as the winds of chaos change they blow me back here and at a time when the glorious slaughter will begin again."
By now he is standing with his hands on the donkey's head arms folded as he leans on them his face turned to look up, his gaze staring directly int the eye holes of the mask. His smile remains ever present as if telling some kind of joke.
"The guvner yes I found him along the way. And it is true before the end I shall see him again, perhaps I'll kill perhaps he'll kill me or perhaps we'll both survive it shall be as chaos and entropy wills it. What I do know for sure is that there is a hoard of demons baring down upon the gates and a dark voice from within the temple here promising me a bloodbath one way or the other."
He steps back away from the donkey and raises his arms to the group.
"So we my little brother's and sister should be here for it, and we can deal with what comes later if there is a later."
**********************************************************************
As Hasclaan enters the city he would recognize the early affects of disease and squalor. He can see the city's guard and militia and guards in action. The Herontie troops and officer seem organized efficient and they indeed seem to be under the impression they have every chance of weathering the coming storm and surviving this, or at the very least they put on a convincing and brave face. The miltia men and city guard do not seems so confident and here and there the tell tale signs of disease are beginning to show, people coughing up blood and phlegm, flies buzzing around infected wounds. and the wailing of children. Whilst the city's organization and the presence of a militant faith might give it the organization to repel an assault were the demons to uncharacteristically settle in for a lengthy siege first instead of attacking right away it could be a disaster.
**********************************************************************
Both Hasclaan and the doomguard would realize that the city is full to capacity there are people sleeping in the streets for simple lack of room to sleep anywhere else. That number of people would consume an awful lot of food.

It is not as bad as he has expected. That many bodies will mean many undead he can send into battle should he Heironites fail.
He expects the Tanar'ri to be inside here aleady, perhaps only a few quasits hiding in the shape of dogs or rats- perhaps something stronger. Or perhaps even some cultists- this should be interesting.
There might be even some opportunities- people tend to be so very desperate in this time and if saved or protected could very well start to abandon their god and look.. elsewhere.
Pushing this thoughts back he approaches the door that leads to the temple, looking for a guard or knight to adress.

The doors to the temple are open though two knights stand on guard duty outside they do not bar his passage. The temple is large a huge domed ceiling would make his footfalls echo on the white marble floor as he crosses it. There are a great many pews, two side chapels with shrines the stained glass windows would cause the light to shine in many different colours on a sunny day down onto the large altar at the far end. Normally the temple would be grand a sign of splendor dedicated to the forces of law and light. Today however the pews are packed full of the sick and the destitute whilst priests tend to them.
Before Hasclaan can take anything in though he hears the voice in his mind again, it seems pleased this time close, very close. It knew he'd come first. It knew he'd understand it. They both see the importance of law and order and both of them realize the Heronites are too weak to commit to it properly, two weak to battle the demons at the gates they have not realized the siege as the diversion it is. It on the other hand like Hasclaan knows order must be enforced that the mewling peasants the Heronites take in would be better slaughtered and renaimted as an army to fight the Tanr'ri with. It knows much of battling demons, it could tell him. All he has to do is come and see it, its not far beneath the temple. Come on, it'll be worth his while.
He realizes the priest has been standing there for a few moments now the man looks over at him concerned by his apparent daze clearly with no idea of what is going on in Hasclaan's mind, his voice filled with concern.
"Are you alright? Do you need help?"

The temple's splendor is lost on Hasclaan and while he might have enjoyed to visit it, to study it under different circumstances he now focuses his mind on his mission- and on what he just has heard.
Realizing he is adressed by the priest he smiles wryly, greets him with a slight bow.
"I am alright, yes."
He pauses, looks around.
"A beautiful temple... a jewel of order.
Ah.. I am Hasclaan Guunt, sent by the Fraterity of Order to investigate the demon threat.
I recently raided one of the demonic outposts and when questioning the priest I found there revealed some informations I want to share with the defenders of this town.
And as a sage I am also rather interested in the history of this temple, I must admit.", he then adds, smiling politely.

They had only been sent to retrive, not aid him why? How come the Knights allowed him to remain loose. What did they want out of him? Had he left the demons willingly or had they captued him adn brougt im here. Willl likely never know. Perhaps he simply spoke the truth? That the voice was beckoning him to the temple. Truth is the greatest lie, for it doesn't exist.
- Why should we be here? Or is that simply a fact due to the lack of choice. But of course entropy can be succored in any location.
- Can you tell us about these promises?
