Auric looks about. Hopefully, there's some...well, what would pass for "official" entrance/exit. He'd rather not just sneak in, since that'd put a bit of a damper on his "I'm not an enemy" credibility...best at least make sure there isn't a "usual" visitors entrance first...

Auric slips towards that opening, trying to see if there is a place he can step out of the shadows without being seen by the outside. He'd rather do so if possible, since he figures there are those looking out for him as their possible lead on Faelyn and he'd rather not bring trouble to the doorstep of someone you're trying to negotiate with. Preferably a place where letting the shadows go wouldn't immediately spook the guards. Failing that, he decided he'd get in front of a guard (not too close preferably, and let go of the shadows when the guard gets distracted, perhaps giving him a start but better than trying to whisper in his ear, or so Auric's thinking goes.

Auric is by no means unaware. He is fairly certain he has not been followed. He could probably make it up behind one of the guards and step from the shadows or he could step back a little giving the man some space so as not to startle him.

//No worries, like I've got any room to complain anyway ;)
Auric takes the "don't startle him" option.

Auric steps from the shadows unseen and it is not until he gets closer the man on guard duty spots him. He wears a cobbled together collection of armour which bears a number of different insignias suggesting it was salvaged from a number of different places. Only his weapon a long dark halberd seems new. It is stamped with the insignia of the doomguard although this man is clearly not a sinker judging by the ragged armour. He seems nervous but overcomes it quickly.
"Who goes there!?"

Auric holds up his empty hands in a placating gesture, inwardly glad he didn't startle the jumpy man.
"Peace, friend. Your boss is Faelyn, right? I have two things for him...a business proposition, and information. The latter doesn't have a price tag attached."

Auric, having both immunity to disease and a remove disease wand, nods.
"Fit as a fiddle."

The man seems unsure of what to make of Auric. Mysterious strangers who appear out of the night were more than he was expecting. He seems happy that Auric is someone elses problem.
"I'll take you to Faelyn. Its a good job he doesn't sleep."
They head into the courtyard of the buildings. The houses are made of a dirty crumbeling white stone the courtyard in the centre seems to be home to ditch guttering from the dwellings, calling them homes would be a bit optimistic directs waste into it to be drained presumably to undersigil. The over all effect is to give the area the noxious smell of human waste. The gate guard leads Auric up a set of steep stone steps to the front door of a small building. He knocks they enter.
The dwelling is a small simple affair, one room that thry stand in and a doorway opposite them would suggest another one behind that. It is simply and sparsly furnished. The guard was correct Faelyn does not sleep but like all elves the drow must trance, and so he sits eyes closed legs crossed in the centre of the floor. He is tall by elven standards and lithely muscled. White hair clipped short rests a top his head. The usual finely chisled slightly girlish elven features are mitagated by a scar that runs runs down his cheek over his lips and jaw to his neck on his left side, and a kink in his nose that suggests it has been broken at least once. The guard who acompanies Auric speaks.
"This man is here to see you. He says he has something for you."
The drow's eyes flick open and his gaze runs over the yuan ti. Auric feels as if he as being asessed. Whatever Faelyn makes of Auric it is clear he does not consider him an imediate danger. He does not stand he does not move he merely looks up.
"Yes?"
