A Hunt For Ravens!

As Kiuna has earned the bird's trust it lets her carry it around and soon it starts to preen its 'mount' running its beak through the woman's hair.

The bazaar is busy is always- people coming and going, laughing with or shouting at each other, some are chatting, some trading- everything seems as usual, a rare thing in a town like Sigil.

Vivana nods at Emmy.

"I know. I found it very strange. Those two.." she points at the timid and aggressive one "were caught by my new hunting golem. I want to create those for pest control." She smiles proudly. "...ever since then that one seems to yell at the other one.

The other one ignores them however. But i got it from some cranky old woman who found it in her razorwine hdge. She did not even want a reward for it."

[*Midnight]

Emila nods

"How charitable of her, did you catch her name or where she lived?"

[*Selebius]

"I fear I have not caught her name but she seemed to live in the Lady's ward. Perhaps works as a gardener for some noble? I saw her carrying one of this elaborate Modron keys- those used for the houses in the Mechanus Road. I know this because I studied this locks for research purposes."

[*Kiuna]

"Oh..." Kiuna stops as she suddenly remembers, "I was introduced to a man who knew a lot some days ago," she continues to the raven, ignoring the people who looks at her as if she's lost her mind. She is used to getting the same looks when she talks with Anacail, and barely notices anymore.

"He lives above the Foul Olde Spirit Inn. Maybe he can help you." She smiles up at the raven, and starts limping towards the inn, heading for the door.

[*Kiuna]

Kiuna sighs at the raven, then she fumbles a little with one of her belt pouches, fishing out some dried rabbit meat. Crouching down with some effort - after giving the sulking Anacail a warning look - she holds out the meat toward the bird, trying to coax it closer.

[*Selebius]

The priest looks after Emila with narrowed eyes and when she is gone he waves at one of the guards, talking to the woman in lowered voice.

As Kiuna offers the treat to the Raven the bird hops a bit closer. It eyes the morsel.. then Kiuna again. Perhaps it expected something else but it behaves like a good raven and snatches the morsel from her fingers.

The sharp, serrated beak cuts through it with ease and with a quick turn of its head it tosses half of it into the Panther's direction- then gobbles down the rest.

[*Kiuna]

Smiling at the very polite raven, she looks back to see Anacail reluctantly snatching the bit of rabbit meat, accepting it as a peace offering, before sitting back and curling its tail up around its front paws.

She considers trying to catch it, but decides against it. The bird showed good faith, and she doesn't want to break that faith. Instead, she finds another piece of dried meat from her belt pouch, and starts moving toward the portal for Karasuthra, holding out the meat to try and make the raven follow.

[*Selebius]

The Raven follows a bit reluctantly, the beast always on guard but Kiuna realizes it is not her or her cat the creature is afraid of.

When the portal opens it stops, fluffs its feathers again and the woman can feel the struggle in the creature's mind. While it would not mind to follow her it seems not willing to leave.. perhaps unfinished business or is it just fearing to abandon its friends?

[*Kiuna]

Kiuna stops at the open portal, looking back at the raven. Sighing, she tosses the meat to the bird. "If you don't come along, someone might catch you... They have posters up, you see... With rewards..." She smiles a little at her stumbling attempt to reason with the raven, feeling a bit silly. But then, Anacail usually seems to understand her, so the bird might too.

[*Selebius]

The bird still hesitates but then hops towards her- perhaps it is something in how she talked or perhaps in her body language- but the raven decides to follow her, to hop through the Portal into the Beastlands.

Once there it almost seems to grow, getting more confident, its eyes looking at her with more intelligence?
