"We should see what those three can tell us.", the Necromancer says, clasping his hands behind his back- then turns to one of the Notaries. "Please send word to the Courts that I request to be put on leave while I assist in this matters."


Hasclaan then stays in the background, letting the Harmonium officers do their work. But he watches them, to learn both about their procedures and their results.

Chari does as Hasclaan suggests asks to have those three deceased men to be questioned about the incident including why they arrested Mauric, when and where. Also, what kind of activity was going on before the explosion.

She walks over to the newly arrived troops. "We need to know information about this explosion like where it was set off and what kind of material that was used. As fast as you can preferably can. You can have them begin Sir." She gives a salute as she stands back and joins Hasclaan.

[*Midnight]

The Notary replies curtly to Hasclaan. "

Perhaps Fraternity can provide you with a runner my duty is to The Harmonium."

If there is more he is interrupted by the mage who speaks to Chari.

"Something was indeed summoned here Ma'am a creature of both Chaos and Evil. It was of course summoned from within the cage so it may well still be here."

The priest also speaks. He has the bodies lined up. The Mover and the two Notaries responsible for the arrest.


"Any preference as to where I begin Ma'am?"

"Of course."

Hasclaan gives a small smile- used to this behavior. After all as a simple clerk he has to deal with people all the time.

"But think again: Would said runner not serve the Harmonium's best interest by aquiering competent help from an allied faction?
So far I provided valuable advice. I cannot do this when I have to go over to the courts. Time is not our ally."

Hasclaan then turns to Chari. "I suggest to check the weapons of the slain for blood. Perhaps one of them wounded the creature and we can use the blood for a divination."

Chari asks the mage, "A demon or something that embodies both? Start with the Mover and be gentle hm? I know I don't need to say that but we must remain considerate, time is against us.

We need to know what happened before the explosion and why Mauric as arrested in the first place. Hasclaan is observing but he may have a question or two."

[*Midnight]

Chari has enough skill as a healer to know Mover Harris was stabbed from behind by someone who probably knew as much about anatomy as she did. It was a single clean blow.

Following a sudden impulse (a rare thing!) Hasclaan steps forward to adress the priest.

"Please ask him if Mauric killed him."

He thinks to know the answer already but it will not hurt to be sure.

[*Midnight]

Larkin nods at the question.

"A Tanar'ri and a powerful one at that."

He smiles grimly

"Its a wonder it wasn't flayed."

Mean while the man with the symbol of St Cuthbert on his shield stands over the body of Mover Harris. The Mover, a blond man in his early forties and a warriors build that suggests he kept himself fit into old age seems to twitch his eyes flutter as if he is not dead but in a deep sleep. The cleric turns to Chari.

"What would you ask him?"

Hasclaan listens, the revelation about the demon being involved not surprising him- but he is pleased as it is still the important bit he was missing, allowing him to plan his next move.

He will probably have to walk a different road then the Hardheads- but for now he waits and listens, curious about what the Mover can tell.

"Ask if he noticed anything strange before the explosion and also, what was his reason for arresting Mauric Ashterot."
