Hasclaan checks his supplies on healing potions and scrolls, the charges of his staffs and wands.

"Tell him about my wishes in your next prayer. I will do what I promised and will start as soon as I can. I trust in your and Heironeus' honor to keep your promises as well. If my price is too high for him we perhaps find something else."

He then meets the man's eyes.

"However I trust in my abilities and if I succeed I think what I want is an appropriate reward."

bearing with the pain and eventual temporary deafness, ignoring the blood trickling down her ears, once the jarring sound stopped to shake the space , ayase gazes in the darkness, withdrawing aside, her eyes able to see both through the dark and the invisible

Dorian's ears ring, his hood doing nothing to block the painful sound. He tries to take it stoically but instinctively covers his ears.

He tries to think through the din, finally in desperation, pulling a scroll out of his belt, ripping some pieces off and then stuffing them in his ears

*As the sound blast hit Mauric he cringed a with his free hand instictivly flung to his ear the other drew the rapier close to his body. He tossed his head in the three directions searching for Ramal but there was naught but darkness and if there was sound it was unhearable due to the ringing in his ear. He swooped a wide slash from right to left with his long rapier at the same time as he grabed the thine air behind him with his free hand expecting an imidiate assault.*

Well done. I had thought to give you a surprise of the darkness but the sound wave was brilliant. I will surely steal it if you miss this fine chance to kill me.

((If he was given time he would invoke retributive invisibility. cast ghostly visage and mirror image then polymorph with both hellfire blast and shield active. Haste should be active since Before. Casting while polymorphed is perfecty legal right? Nano and I had a little discussion about it yesterday.))

In the crypts the shadows flicker and the echoes bounce off the walls. Dorian stuffs his ears with the torn scroll. It stems the flow of blood but does nothing for the lingering effects of the curse in the song.

Mauric's invocation takes effect and he fades from sight. He sees the silhouette of something vaugly human stop dead in its tracks presumably confused as he disappears while it crept up on him. Then the figure is knocked to the ground by a group of four others wielding a greatsword. The four acting in perfect unison presumably a mirror image spell in action waste no time in brutally driving the greatsword through the chest plate and breast bone if the stricken knight. There is a sickening crunch and a howl of blood lust from what one would assume is Ramal.

Ayase would see two knights rush past her without seeing her. They advance towards Dorian their footsteps in full plate would alert the judge to their presence despite the paper shoved into his ears. Weapons drawn one advances directly at him the other begins to flank him.

The knight commander stands up and steps around his desk.

Stuffing paper in his ears does not help Dorian at all but it did make me smile when I read it if that counts for anything.

Casting while polymorphed will not work as polymorphing stops a character from using class abilities and spell casting and invocations are class abilities. Hellfire shield however once active will remain active. And Mauric does have time as he is invisible however each invocation will take a round to cast

Hasclaan finishes with his preperations by swapping his large blade for a smaller one.

"Show me how to get there and tell me what I must know."

*if possible ayase would conjure just enough tentacles at those two knights' feet to make them fall as they run past her* ((not sure if and how such would work with that invocation, but worth a try))

In the Crypt below the temple the running boot steps slow and begin spreading out, in the darkness. Mauric who rushes forward sees the knights draw their blades, and he sees a figure, no four figures run back into the darkness away from them. And then there is a jarring sound, an ear splitting screech which Mauric and the other two doom guards would both hear. They all lose focus their vision blurs and a thin trickle of blood runs down their necks from their ears. Mauric who can see the knights would see they are affected by it too many of them raising their hands to their ears. And then silence and darkness the nine of them in the small crypt looking for each other.

He waits to be shown to the portal for immediate departure.
