(Fort 10+24=34 Listen 14+34=48)

Khari rushed up the stairs, dragging the dead Hiver with her (Str mod of +8).

"Everyone out!"

There were voices behind that door- shouts of alarm and warnings, the sound of something heavy dragged over the floor.

Khari is able to avoid the effect of most of the fumes (( 1 pt Con damage)) andis able to have her horde regroup outside while the fumes of this trap slowly disperse.

They are watched from the houses nearby and it is obvious that Eman is feeling quite uncomfortable.

"I heard of their love for poisons and diseases. But this was..... deadlier than anything I saw before."

Khari downed a small healing potion and moved with the horde to the small building. "Don't harm anyone that's not part of their gang. We're here to stop their business, not rob the residents."

She looked for the nearest door and directed her men to break it down.

The small healing potion is enough to stop the bleeding but the gash still hurts when Khari moves.

Two of her horde are already busy taking the door down with axes and soon the wood splinters and breaks and Khari can enter the dark room behind it.

There are tables, a small bar and on the far walls there are stairs leading down to another sturdy wooden door.

The room is empty- no patrons inside at this time of the day but Khari's warriors still seem alert and tense as they enter.

"Sounds like they are barricading themselves inside. Any suggestions?" Khari asked Eman, watching the entrance of the building.

"I guess if they are digging in it means they cannot really get out in using a different way. You know... I think they had time enough to run but they did not instead wasting time on fortifying their position.

So smoke them out or just tear down that barricade and kill them?"

"There must be something worth protecting down there then. We'll smoke them out. Non-lethal gasses only. There might be more prisoners in there."

"Non lethal gasses?" Eman stares at her, clearly not understanding what she means. "Well... alright. I suppose. What shall we do?"

"If we start a fire and wave the smoke into the room, it might flush them out, but what if they have a backdoor or escape route like the last place?" Khari motioned at the building. "Then there is that chance we will burn the whole place down. Unless there is some other way out, they are trapped. We'll use sleeping gas and knock out the ones that get caught."

Khari looked at Eman. "That is, of course, if we have any. I know the Night Market has some."

"The Night Market? Alright. We watch the door, make sure noone escapes, yes?" He looks at his three companions who nod eagerly, seeing this as a safe job without much trouble involved.
