After Garlfol has been there a while two Fated exit the Hall of Records. They barely acknowledge his presence. They appear to be in a heated discussion, and Garlfol gets only a snatch of the conversation.

Fated One: "Come on, if we find it, Darkwood will kiss our asses!"

Fated Two: "Think you? Fool. Darkwood will claim it for himself and we will be assigned to some remote plane. If we find it, we should keep it and not tell anyone."

Fated One: "Ah, you have a point there..." the conversation dwindles as they continue walking.

Rat looks at the coin with surprise and horror, mumbling a muffled 'Thank you'.

A platinum piece!! How should she explain that to the Hardheads?! And what should she buy for it?! Noone has even the jink to give her the change!

.. but for the adventurers of course. The planehoppers. But lets stay clear of that arrogant folk. They slaughter her kind for sport, a few coins and to test their weapon's sharpness. The Lady should maze 'em. Maze 'em all!

These and other thoughts run through the goblins mind as she scuttles through the streets.

Then- she stops. Looks at the coin. Is it fresh? Untouched? Perhaps just spawned from the bowl itself?!

This night she makes camp nearby that man's house and as usual she sleeps lightly- hoping to be able to follow him to work next day and to boldly infiltrate the Stronghold of Law he works in. A broom and a small shovel. This is a disguise that always works!

....hmm another dead end. or perhaps watches the direction they headed off too. And follows from a long distance though just to see where they go, he doesn't follow them down anywhere that he would consider dangerous. or through portals. After seeing where they went he would then head back to the hive for the night, This time he post up right outside the Weary Spirit, and plays a song for all the ears to here.

Rat is probably most annoyed and frustrated when a few hours after receiving the platinum coin, it disappears. It would be safe to assume that any beggar would feel the loss of a coin of such worth the instant it was no longer on their person.

Something along the lines of "Damn all Wizards and their conjurations and illusions" may be appropriate at this point.

Rat wakes up immediately as the coin fades and curses most creatively.

After marking the man's house as home of a cheapskate with some blek she scuttles back to the bazaar.

Today she keeps close to the beggar by the inn, even going so far to adress him.

"What's chant?" She askes as she offers him half of a roll she just pilfered from a wagon delivering fresh bread to the inn.

"Nuthin new" he grumbles "Why you be askin eh?"

He chuckles a moment.

"Ha, ye be one of them fools who goes belivin chant about Erbin's bowl an me? Ha! Ye fool, i be but a poor beggar and nuthin more. Now either give me a copper and bugger off or just bugger off. Either way, leave me alone ye daft barmy berk."

"Dun get it. You not after it? Why? And you got half of my roll! And I did not pilfer your jink. So stow it!"

Grumbling the goblin scuttles off to the hive- not without a tour across the bazaar of course. Then she decides to find this king of beggers. Sounds easier than dealing with planehoppers or wererats, does it not?

As Rat scurries away he hears the beggar yell: "Because it don't bloody well exist ye flamin' barmy!"

Regardless, the so-called king of the beggars may prove to be a more lucrative source of information...

The ogre ponders the rumor of the beggar king. Pondering who would declare himself his king. Though these thoughts did not come easy to him and took a long while to piece together. Which was spent sitting on the wall of Khazeet's bar. It also left him with a dull throbbing in the back of his head. This annoyed him greatly.

If king then I go see him. Get jink from him.

There was a long pause as he tried to think some more. This only added to the throbbing in his head. He simply did not like having to think so much.

Find bowl too. If not give then Grunk smash head.

He did not come to the idea the beggar might not having it for he was done thinking and simply wanted to act. So he grabbed his bowl and deposited it in a pocket of his moldy shirt and got up and left. Though it was quite some time before the stench let go of its hold on the area and people once again could safely pass without holding their breath or their eyes and mouth burning.

Rat once again listens to the chant and tries to find out who is working for this king or where he is- she searches the Hive, the Bottle & Jug and Night Market and even dares to enter Undersigil.

She even spreads the word that she wants to join his budding organization in hope to find a way to that berk.
