she sits down and explains quietly ''Pipshqueak, the missing modron. we ...'' stops, chewing on her lip, then shakes head sighing ''just know there's group of hivers in disguise that's trying to fight the invaders that posses people, in the hive and gatehouse. and this group took the pipsqueak cause it can bring people back from trap portals but them can't command it''
rubs neck ''but them suffered losses among their ranks and they need help now'' says with a regretful expression. then adds ''they didnt trust us, thought we were possessed, and we couldnt trust them enough too, so fight arose between us and we killed several before their leader could flee with the modron and we got away''
''we could capture one o'them, and hims explained how things were ,and we saw the error we made. then we let him go''
stares ahead a bit then starts speaking again
''we found rannia in her kip. seems she was sent to gatehouse from barracks due to troubles she made there...but when in gatehouse she...the ones who seize her mind...had spread them's presence there too, and now hold the place in control, altho' 's naut blatant, they hide in people. so she could get out. thems made her get out so she can keep doing their will''
rubs an arm, thinking ''we asked her if she can undo her drawings and etchings. she says she knows how but they won't let her. we tried to break one of thems carvings, but it hurt just to look at it so we couldnt''
purses lips looking toward the kip ''we's naut sure how much she will be able or willing to help. she's scared, vulnerable to them, can't fight them, threaten to shatter her, snatch her memory. and she wants to survive and be whole, she says...''
pauses
''...or she'd rather die whole?'' scratches head ponderous ''she spoke of spark, her potential, her birthright, to claim it, be consumed by her own fire before they take her, and destroyed in Cage by blade and shadow...sorry Vara, we can'ts be any clearer...''
slumps back, sitting tired

The tiefling nestled herself upon her tattered bedding - Rags and torn garments strewn into a tangled mess to approximate a bed and sheet for warmth.
Her head pounded, a constant ache that dulled her senses and sundered any attempts at coherent thought. Every sound and glimmer of light brought new agony upon her, and through it all, the Cacophony howled and whispered, pleaded and bellowed upon her cracking mindscape.
Rannia forced herself to open an eye, taking in her surroundings. She'd managed well enough in blocking the spears of light that struck through the ruined wooden beams of her derelict dwelling - or rather, as well as one could in a half collapsed hiver kip. The room was dark, but her eyes pierced through her surroundings, overlaying her vision with a glimpse into a twisted, writhing realm.
She saw it.
It? Them?
An ageless leviathan lingered upon the edge of her sight, its' immeasurable form shrouded by the unreality it dwelled in. Its' form would never sustain it in a place of forces mortal minds regarded as 'laws' - Gravity would pull cruelly at the misshapen mass, rendering it immobile. Even now, the leviathan didn't truly enact anything that might be regarded as movement, no... The churning madscape of the Far Realm moved through it as if it were an intangible spectre.
Countless minute specks flitted and fluttered about it, she knew that the 'distance' between her and the eldritch horror was all that kept her from seeing the thousandfold sycophantic aberrations, their minds joined in a psionic choir of maddening thoughts.
The Cacophony raged across her mindscape - Not just the scene that played in the fringes of her vision, but a dozen more similar occurrences.
She closed her eye again, the sight lingering in her mindscape despite her attempts to purge the thought - It took root, festered inside her skull as they always did. Rannia tried to turn her thoughts to something else, anything else - Paintings? The paintings she made for herself in her moments of lucidity? The reminders of who she was and the summaries of her experiences thus far?
They were all around her, the walls of her kip were her private canvas, but she couldn't look upon them, not now.
The pain was too strong. She trembled and buried her head in the tattered linens, wincing tightly.
She found a thought to focus upon. They'd given it to her unintentionally.
Rannia thought about the wetness staining her cheeks, the tears that began to flow.

after resting a bit and listening to vara's eventual response, wuhi quietly went inside the kip to see how rannia is faring, not going too much past the entrance not to disturb her too much, peering upon the tiefer and the space she's in

Vara pauses thinking about what Wuhi. "'Kay then hun. First thing we need to do is find out if Rannia can undo those paintings she makes. Then we have to ask her if there is any way send them back, aside from zapping them."
She pauses again thinking. Seeing the exhausted Wuhi she mkes a recommendation, "I think you should at least take a nap, you look so tired, your making me tired. Let's go in and see how she's doin hun."
Vara walks over to the repaired front door and knocks gently.
