*Emeraldin Undren sends out her agents to the Hive Ward to spread the word that debts are being paid for those in danger of going to jail. Those in need are to meet the flame-haired Hin at the Bottle and Jug tavern in the Hive Ward for interviews. It is said that only a few have been refused and only because they were unwilling to work with the Hin on solutions for repayment.*

"She never."

"What if we dun like da offer?"

"Den she be takin bobbles wut be worth da debt."

"We be but poor folk, we ain't be ..."

*Serith sees a look in Rothar's eyes. He immediately picks up on his meaning.*

"Yer not saying ..."

"Aye so I is. If'n we dun pay. It be hers."

*The syndicate coffers, a combined collection from all members, would be accessable for this task. Emeraldin would have access to whatever she needed to see this through*

*Emmy looks up from her place at the table.*

"I understand you position sir however I simply can not pay your debt if you are not willing to work with me to pay it back. I suppose if you had some sort of collateral then we could over do something but you have nothing in your possession for a debt of five thousand. I'm sorry but I am going to have to ask you to leave. Guards."

*Two men in shiny breastplates step forward and grab the man under the arms. They begin to lead him towards the door and Emmy begins to focus on the next in line."

"Wait! Me soul! Take me soul!"

*Emmy's guards look back and she raises a hand for them to stop. She reaches for a form beneath her table and pulls it up. The paper appears to be made of gold and it has crimson writing on it and smells faintly metallic.*

"Just so we are clear, you are offering you soul as collateral for your debt correct?"

"Aye, me soul."

"And in accordance to this contract if any potions of your debt remains you will forfeit your soul to The Syndicate to do with as they see fit?"

"Aye, So swear!"

*Emmy motions for his hand and pricks it with a thin stilletto dagger. She presses his finger to the parchment and dips a quill into the blood and puts it into his hand.*

"Now sign there and the deal is done."

*The man looks from Emmy to the parchment*

"Quickly," she states, "Before the blood dries and I need to prick you again."

*The man quickly signs the contract and hands the quill back over to Emmy. Emmy merely starts at him blankly.*

"I can't believe you did that. I gave you ever chance and every opportunity to back out of it, to help you think about what you were doing."

*Emmy rips up the contract in front of him and tosses it to the ground. A horrified look jumps onto his face.*

"The contract is a farce," Emmy begins, "I don't not accept souls, guards please escort him to the room over there, I will talk to him later."
