Xundril cut again, driving the unseelie fae to the ground. The final blow was quick to follow, opening the screaming faerie from neck to waist. A light chuckle escaped from behind the expressionless mask as the knight flicked the blood from her glowing blade. She couldn't remember the last time she had so much fun. Back home there was little opportunity to spill the blood of the fae folk, even those of the unseelie court. It was the best of both worlds for her, both of her halves reveling in the carnage of ancestral enemies.

She had been commanded to adapt to this new world, this city of doors, and so far she was enjoying this part of it. Dealing with the people was a challenge, but she would do as she was bid. One day she may be called upon to lead, but for now her place was to serve, and she would do so as if her life depended on it. It probably did, she thought. At least she could have a little fun while she was at it, and when no one was watching.

The masked knight picked up the sack of various trinkets she had picked up off the dead that littered the field. Some she could sell, others might come in handy later. None of it mattered as much as the feeling that swept through her body when she caused suffering and finally saw the life leave the eyes of her victim. She'd have to find some nameless harlot when she got back to the city to relieve the built up tension, a conquest of another sort to complete her day.
