The cycle was winding down, many people shuffled across the workshop floor eagerly putting the finishing touches on the latest edition of S.I.G.I.S, ink stained hands flexed with fatigue and many people hunched over tables rearranging what articles would go where.

One such laborer shuffled over and opened a window for some fresh (by Sigil standards) air. He narrowed his eyes towards the outside, unsure if his eyes indeed saw a flurry of shadows and shapes moving around in the dark. He turned to head back in side after a moment and was suddenly knocked backwards into the work ship as the loud resounding click of a crossbow echoed, the bolt piercing the mans throat and carrying him back into the workshop.

A single breath of time later various windows shattered as heavy vials were tossed through them. As the vials shattered on the workshop floor they emitted a bright blinding flash and produced an instant burst of flame which quickly spread to what ever flammable material happened to be nearby, which in a shop filled with chemicals and paper was sure to be a significant quantity. The worst of it though was the building, the very stone of the building seemed to catch on fire!, the flames eagerly devouring and consuming the stone from the inside out!.

The S.I.G.I.S staff, panicked and not sure who would do such a thing to writers of freedom and expression not to mention the truth, flung the doors open and began to flee into the streets, terrified for their life.

Then came a symphony of twinging bow strings and clicking crossbows which ended the screams of the panicked employees.

Some did get away though.

When the local officials arrive on scene the fire has burned itself out and the assailants are long gone.

A few people did witness a flurry of shapes and figures moving around at the time of the massacre, some of them even walked in the street for a moment but they were all faded and shadowy as if protected by magic, their forms were dark, wavy and transparent.

When Caterina heard of the attacks on SIGIS a smile crossed her lips. She was not manveolent woman. She was not pleased at the deaths of the staff there but she was a pragmatist and the chance for a friendly press was to good to refuse. She did not know who was responsible for the attacks but if it was not the Anarchists then it was someone who had timed things well enough to make it look like it was the anarchists. She had always believed then pen was mightier than the sword, she put hers to paper writing an open letter to SIGIS. She included a large cash donation to help with the cost of damages.

Soon after the incident Hograth leads a few namers to the scenery, both to secure evidence and to start some investigations- but also to help.

He gives out Healing potions, talks to the survivors, both to gather informations about the attackers as well as to calm them, to ensure that peace and harmony returns to their lives and the Cage.

Chari arrives at the scene soon after Horgrath. Unlike most, she mostly catalogs the scene, giving extra attention to the charred remains the building, writing down notes of the witnesses and notes of the crime scene as well. Once she's finished, she makes sure her superiors receive a copy.
