Part I (For Poetic licenses' sake i have written this in Common because i don't understand Drow and i don't think any one else does too)

The house of Gremere is near to the top when it came to nobility. The only thing holding them back from a higher status was Daarius; Fool and genius at the same time, even for a Drow, Daarius was nasty and it never once helped him in any situation. When Daarius spoke to any of the higher Nobles it was with the same tone he used with his older brother, who he despised. Someone probably consider killing him at least once a day.

A tall thin Drow peers round the corner of Daarius' room door 'Daarius!' Shouts L'kinar, his older, slightly wiser brother.
'Shut up, scum! I'm working on something you couldn't possibly fathom, so let me be!' Daarius Scowls and scribbles all over an old book. Probably worth something, but Daarius didn't care.
'You're a second born! i could order father to kill you and he probably wouldn't even ponder on the thought.' L'kinar exclaimed 'he'd step right in this room and strangle you with his bare hands, and by the way dinner is on the table, father invited a Svirfneblin round.'
Things like; can you move your things off my desk and i'm going to pin you down and rip your teeth out, were often spouted in the same sentence in the house of Gremere.
Daarius closed his book, shoved it in a draw under his desk and placed a small rat trap on top of it before he closed the desk. He straightened out his robe and walked out of his room and down the dimly lit stairs of his house.

Part II

Daarius walks into the dining room, a dark purple and green velvet cloth, heavily embroidered with images and symbols of Lloth covered the long, rounded, rectangular table. He pulled out a wooden chair and sat at the end of the table before L'kinar could sit down. His brother turns from chatting with the deep gnome his father invited around and scowls at Daarius, he then pulls out a chair quite a distance from his little brother and sits down. Haski grabs a chair and says 'Second born. Cast and enlarge spell on this would you for our Svirfneblin friend.'
'You mean your friend, and you must know me better than that, Father, why would I practice in practical magic when i can kill things instead?' Daarius replies. 'Besides, you should have organised a chair for our guest before hand.'
Haski worked in the slave trading business, so he has people around all the time. Stolen human children from the surface are the most expensive, so the family lived quite close to the top. L'kinar worked for his father and often went to the surface at night to kill parents and collect the children to bring back to his father, half of the time he didn't need to kill the parents, he just did. He says that it opens the children's eyes to the real world and give them a sense of what place they hold in drow society when they come down to the Underdark.
Haski starts looking annoyed, mainly because Daarius does nothing with the family buisness and then spends his time learning spells that aren't beneficial to anyone else.
'I wish you weren't such a bastard, Daarius.' Haski says angrily.
Haski puts the chair to the side and walks off to find a higher chair. The Deep gnome looked rather unamused and tapped his foot impatiently with his arms crossed. Daarius looked the Svirfneblin up and down in curiosity. Most Deep gnomes are the sneaky cut throat types, but this one seemed to have a lot in common with Daarius. He had a book hanging by his side held on a chain that attached to his belt, he wore a red shirt and black trousers and carried no weapon, which was uncommon in the Underdark.
