She jolted up gasping in rapid pace, her chest heaving steadily as the cold sweat ran down her forehead and spine, clutching to the ribs on her right side. Just another nightmare she thought, but the pain was real, the wolf she traveled with got up from its resting place strutting to rest its head on her lap. This calmed her mind quick as she started to pet him. In the usual style of Tianus he rolled playfully on her lap for better reception of the scratching. This received a genuine smirk from her, both envious and amused by the carefree lifestyle of Tianus and his tendency to know just when is the best time to get spoiled by her.

Soon her thoughts returned however to the cause which had forced her awake that protruded a slight frown. The effects of her last remedy had started to turn weaker as well, this meant she'd have to find new combination again. Her hand swept forehead, then reached to the night table at the open journal. With the quill by it she flourished the next entry in the middle of the book...

The nightmares are getting worse again, I was assured the latest remedy would work to quarantee dreamless night, but it seems that I was either played a fool, or that the treatment isn't working. I am keeping positive attitude and hope that it was the first.

The nightmare was again going through the time in the laboratory. Seeing the other subjects and being unable to stop any of it. I woke up when the...
... she took a pause, rubbed the right side of her ribs which still ached. She removed the shirt to study the damage, only a small wound this time, the roll of bandage was on the desk and like most times she for now used it to cover the wound. Cynn reached to scratch him behind his ear absent mindedly, again slight smirk on her lips. Lost in the thought of what she had intended to write, she went through it all again and then the quill flourished onwards with the journal...

I'm starting to think that going to Sigil may not be such a bad idea after all, it should provide a sanctuary, but maybe answers as well.

PS. Get some food for Tianus, he's such a gluttonous wolf.
Amused expression on her face as she ruffled Tianus' fur. "Yes you are." she mumbled as if the wolf had argued against her. Though weary of yet another bad quality sleep night, she soon started to pack, on bright side of being on the run she never had too much to pack so it was quickly done and ready to get back to the road and keep on moving. How long had she been on the run? she wondered though soon shook her head to drive the thoughts away, it didn't matter. One day at a time, that had kept her alive thus far.

The portal to Cage was just ahead, she had found out about it couple months back, but it had always seemed dangerous or alien. She took a deep breath and stepped through the portal, only to find herself in the Sigil streets during night, or maybe it was always this dark in Sigil? She didn't really know, but the thick smog and the thick smoke didn't take long to irritate her clear magenta eyes, the Lower Wards wastes definitely weren't the healthiest. It was a start however, she started looking around...
