Sigil: City of Doors

Seems my friends and I draw a lot of attention being from Scarn. So i figured I'd post this up for people to read. Biography will be in the second post. General information will be in the first.

Name: Neelis
Aliases: Neelis of Hollowfaust, Journeyman Neelis.
Gender: Male

Profession: Necromancer, Doctor, Animator, Deathwatch Member, Mercenary.
Languages: Common, Goblin, Elven, Draconic.
Accent: Being from Ghelspad, within our table top setting we give those speaking common from there a British type of accent. Though it's only heard, doesn't really express itself within the text.

Physical Information
Height: 5'10 (178 cm)
Weight: 145lbs (65-66kgs)
Body build: Gaunt in appearance, fitting with the morbid style of his city.
Skin type: Pale skin, due to living in the Underfaust. Pristine in condition due to the strict standards on hygiene within his guild.
Hair style: Medium length long crimson read hair. He tends to let it out or put it into a pony tail.
Scars: His fingers and hands have tiny knicks and scrapes on them due to his training with surgery.

Hair: Crimson Red
Eyes: Dark green, with a hint of brown.
Skin: Ghostly pale white, something he tends to be proud of.

Alignment: Lawful Neutral
Philosophy: Neelis tends to have a very open mind when it comes to everything. Being from a city full of Necromancers in a world that is mostly destroyed he has learned to let people speak their mind. Because of this, he enjoys other open minded people...and tends to grow impatient with with those who don't bother to listen to both sides of any story.
Deity/Beliefs: Neelis loosely follows a god from his plane named Nemorga. Nemorga is the gatekeeper of the underworld and makes sure that everyone dies when their time has come. More respectful of Nemorga then worshiping of him, Neelis tends to follow his own morals rather then the edict of a religion.

Personality: Neelis is rather scatter-brained. He tends to be a very loyal friend and comrade in arms...but with personal time...he much like many children raised from a young age to be Wizards he lacks the social skills needed to be considered normal by most social standards. He tends to strike out with the ladies often...and stumble on his words quite a bit. Overall good in nature, Neelis tends to open up to people easily and become a good friend even easier.

Additional Information
Gear: Neelis always wears his coldweave gear. Coldweave is a special fabric made in Hollowfaust to keep the Necromancers cool during spellcasting and their trips through the desert. This mundane cloth has the property of keeping the bodies comfortable in the extreme heats of the desert.
Jewelry: Neelis wears an Animator's Ring from Hollowfaust...though many of his items from Scarn have mysteriously lost their enchantments upon arriving in Sigil.
Habbits/hobbies: Very devoted to his work within the Animator's Society...Neelis has a fascination with the art of reanimating bones. He practices this often and has even perfected the ways of strengthening the bones with chemicals. Much like with all Animator's Society members, Neelis views animating skeletons at work of art.
General Health: Neelis is extremely healthy even though his appearance says otherwise. Hollowfaust is one of the healthiest cities within all of Scarn...simply due to their free healthcare. As such anytime he's been sick, broken a bone...or simply developed a cold, he was treated for it.
Favorite Drink: Neelis enjoys Tea mostly.
Weaknesses: Neelis has a very low tolerance for alcohol. He also has a fear of clowns dressed a certain way. (If you dress like a jester he will break into a cold sweat...)

(Feel free to talk to me IC about his history, he likes to share about his past with people...simply due to the fact that it helps understand him a bit better. This right here is just a tidbit of everything that he's about...I do this purposely so that others my approach him in game to ask. Don't be afraid to ask me in private...this is my Table Top character, so i tend to know a lot about his background. Anyway...Enjoy!)

Neelis was born in about 120 AV. The world of Scarn is still trying to bounce back from the devestation wrought upon it by the Titans and Gods having an all out war on the surface of the mortal realm. Area's of the world were forever changed...verdant plains turned into deserts. Mountains originally thought dormant errupted, and whole civilizations were destroyed in a blink of an eye during this time. To no ones surprise...when the Gods won the war against the Titans, that nearly eighty percent of the worlds population was destroyed by the sheer power of divine beings battling eachother to death. This morbid outlook is ingrained in almost every resident of Scarn. They view their humble existances as a gift from the gods...even though it's rough.

Neelis himself hails from a rather odd city created after the destruction of the war. Hollowfaust, a city named for the hollow volcano it was build under...was created in the ruins of a once prosperous city that thrived as a jewel of the desert before the divine war. Sumara as the city was formerly was called was covered in ash and pyroclastic flow when the volcano had erupted next to it, causing all the citizens within the city to die instantly due to the flash fire, the ash, and the sheer destruction brought on by the exploding mountain. The sheer number of people dying in such a short amount of time released a ton of negative energy into the area. Angry spirits began to arise...ghosts, ghasts and ghouls began to sulk the area....and for a long time...Sumara wasn't safe for anyone to go near.

That changed when the 7 Pilgrims arrived...and began to establish the city of Hollowfaust within the ruined walls of Sumara. Taking in wandering bands of refugees after the war...the city with the help of the seven pilgrim necromancers...were able to establish the Free City Stare of Hollowfaust...a Magocracy devoted to protecing it's citizens and promoting the prositive use of Necromancy to all of Scarn.

7 Guilds were Established, all with a different spin on how to use Necromancy...Neelis himself belongs to the Animators Society...who helps upkeep the Skeletal undead they've crafted to act as the town guard and shock troops in time of war. Amongst other duties within the Animators Guild, Neelis often spends time at the Clinic helping the Anatomists guild keep the sick and injured from the city healthy.

Neelis' like many Necromancers from Hollowfaust...reached the age of curiosity and like many before him set out to learn more about the world...and perhaps bring back lost knowledge to his city. Neelis set out across the sea to the continent of Termana. There he enlisted into a Undead Hunting society known as the Deathwatch...and began his career as a mercenary for hire...all the while seeking knowledge to take back home to his people.

In time...Neelis would make a lot of friends and spread the word and ideals of his city...however...that all changed when he had a run in with a rather sadistic carnival. Fearing for his life...Neelis ran...and ran...and...for one reason or another...ended up in Sigil...dazed and confused.
