They talked of belief and faith in higher powers.. the Seldarine, the Creator Corellon, the Queen Angharradh. She stood next to her Tall-Tovari quietly to one side of the bazaar and delved with him into the oath of shevarash and connections with the Seldarine. He spoke in elven to her at her request, she let him lip read her common.
Her oath had been broken simply by accepting the drowess, now her named sister into her life, her family, sharing joy and friendship. What were the consequences? Would they come for Lyra to reconvert, reindoctrinate or worse?
Once a follower, always a follower. And yet...
'Seek attonement in the eyes of the other Seldarine, or Eilistraae... if such is done, the oath will have no more power, and the Black Archer would not send his followers after you, fearing the anger of the Elven Pantheon.'
It was true she no longer felt bound to the lack of joy or emotion that the Black Archer dictated. Her life was good, pleasurable even, with much to enjoy and look forward to that and bring smile to her pale lips.
'Do you wish for your child to be born into an existence of sorrow and lack of other emotion that Shevarash dictates?'
No. Closure then. Then she could seek attonement.
'How does Sovani remember her loved ones?'
She had told no one the detail of her last memories of them, their screams, the sight of arms outstretched as she was torn from their side, the shock and the choking pain thereafter. She signed a finger drawn across her throat as she gave him the barest. There were other memories, but this one of late had been pressing upon her.
With careful word he turned that last image about to one that encouraged more positive memory. They had never received the rites the fallen deserved, had never been brought to peace.
Perhaps the journey to Toril, a dream of hers, was not necessary after all, but that their souls could be called to rest from distance. Aria would know how to do it. Of that she was sure. He knew everything.
The Tall-Tovari supported her with strong hand to her shoulder as she went to her toes, stretched to lay kiss to his cheek. For once, she left her teasing aside in those few moments.
***
She tried to catch up with Isonade, enjoyed listening to one musician and made simple signs of conversation, but, as usual, the drowess' enchanting stall became busy quickly and when two hulking bugbears with their bears approached, Lyra swiftly made her exit to quieter corner.
Stab! Squeeze. Daub.
She had not offered sannish for such a small and easy tattoo, three colours used and applied to fine needle as she got the Chaos-Hin to sit to crate so she could make the image of skull and flames to his upper right arm. A whisper from the blond rough warrior female had her smirking but refusing. Blond-Axe wanted her to mess the halfling's tattoo up. She was a professional. No matter how much the halfling annoyed her and made her scowl, business was business and she would deliver good work. If it hurt him in the process, that was his problem. He paid her the agreed sum and tottered off the crate pleased. She didn't bother with applying grease or bandage. He could figure that bit out for himself.
Blond-Axe then met with her to discuss her tattoo and piercing requirements. They settled on sum and the girl agreed to meet her at later time at the hive ward tattoo parlour. While a small arm tattoo could be handled in the bazaar, a piercing or breast tattoo was better made in the privacy of the tattoo parlour booth.

She was overdoing it and she knew it. Mostly tired, low and hiding it from all. She completed the last customer for that morning, a simple gruumsch eye upon orc chest, after a few giggling halflings had come for piercings, one snarky human's back tattoo...and she was done for the day. With handsignal to Lervak, receiving nod and grumble, she tidied the parlour, her instruments and quit.
She had a large paintbrush to find. A tall elf needed a beating for making her Sovani cry. Blow her own tears. Rare, they had burned her cheeks and left her eyes red-rimmed and she hated it. Her brief attempt and effort to join in some light hearted activity earlier in bazaar was left in wake when duty called again for another and Lyra had not realised...they hardly saw one another of late to communicate....she left note at the cave that had been warded only for Isonade and Lyra...chosing not to remain after all having asked earlier for refuge 'Lyra reverie elsewhere, not disturb Sovani'.
Her Sovani was upset. Lyra would personally see that he suffered...horribly....work be damned...she would find the energy.

Two promises were made. As clear as the two heartbeats felt within her large belly, Lyra heard two promises from her sovana as she clung to their embrace.
'I swear I'll be there to help raise the little one' she was told, Danielle's voice near breaking in the process. Lyra, also tearful, corrected the fey'ri telling of the two heartbeats as the one tried to explain what she had to do to keep their family safe.
Would that the black bow with magic in arrow fly swift to heart, true and sure to kill those that prevent sovana from her return. Lyra offers her best ..that she might do her task efficiently to allow her return the pale slender but now large bellied elf mouthed to her elder sister, having also just made sly threat in jest that she would remove all the food in the house if Danielle did not return swiftly to their fold.
'I -will- return this.' Danielle made her second vow as Lyra gave over without hesitation her most precious and treasured black bow, the Bow of the Black Archer and passed it to into her hands to be used with purpose and for her cause and with hope.

Bored.
Lyra was bored. And fat. Selfishly feeling a bit unwanted in her 'graceless' state. Basically in a 'grump' with a fair few feelings of annoyance again. She slid from boredom to a contented state as soon as she got out of the house and stretched her aching back and legs. Yet proper hunts were pretty much out of the question now.
The best she could manage was hear a tale or two from her Tall-Tovari on his escapades, past or current, draw a few pictures of the scenes and dream of being there letting her arrows fly, the latest being of an adventure some time ago. The end sketch being of seven knights, an angel with icicles hanging down from its wings, a backdrop of fiends and demons and the bust of a large balor to one side looking ferocious.
The latest thing to make her scowl was on the subject of names...and the fact that her brother and sister had chosen theirs with spares even!
In her household...cat was still cat. Babies would be baby-one and baby-two at this rate.
She made it to the market on occasion for supplies, passing by Isonade and catching up for a bit before spending a couple of hours...all she could manage in a day and she kept it to one or two selected customers....at the hive tattoo parlour.
One such customer, the huge Poet-Warrior with the musical hairbells she like to hear sometimes as he strode past, had given her new commission with promise of bonus if she made the tattoo of her best quality to astound him. She knew of the subject and had idea that would assure that bonus. She told him to meet her in the hive parlour in two days. This would give her enough time for the tracing and other preparations.
The next day as she took exercise to the market she made beeline to Isonade's stall directly to source what she needed.

The times Lyra would manage to get round to the cave in Karasuthra were few of late. She was heavy, for a slight thing, swellings to her body that though hardly showed other than her large 'bump' were very much felt and made travelling far very awkward. Lyra finally had to severely limit her work in the tattoo parlour to simple small affairs that she could 'sit' to without marathon or intense preparation. She still maintained her sketchwork, ideas on new patterns and symbols, the occasional piercing.
Used to her own company, silence and solitude as Darremar was often busy, with Danielle still absent from the house, Lyra's main companion was 'Cat' - for a kitten it was no longer. They had eventually come to a truce and a companionable pairing, one that was reminiscent of her childhood and relationship with her father's panther companion 'Shade'. Her swollen belly was oft sat on by the fur bundle as she sat to the rocker and the gently purring warmth seemed to lessen and calm the inner kicks.
She pottered and waddled about the house, focused on the daily tasks and her art. She started a painting of her 'family', one in oils of medium size that she could work on while seated. One she allowed space and place set aside that, in time, additions could be made to each side of Isonade and herself.

In one house, in the lady's ward, one small pale elf mute girl silently screamed as she pushed out from her slight body one boy child followed in the half hour more easily by a girl.
Exhausted and bemused, the elf lay to her bed nursing the twins, yet despite the scowl to her face still reddened from her efforts, she looked upon them both and to the darkly robed male with the long pale hair and long ears who helped with the birthing, with love.
The children's names? That will remain a silent secret until Lyra speaks of them.
