Journal Entry –
Shockingly enough, my memory was not completely removed. Nor was my soul and mind lost in eternal tortured drift, as the religions fanatics of my home-plane teach. I must admit that my lack of faith in the so-called gods that I have had to keep hidden all of my life seems to have served me well.
Though I do imagine, if I were to imbue a great quantity of the river, I would forget all that I have learned, possibly even my personality as well, but small amounts seem to merely remove recent memories and acquired skills. Given the nature and accelerated learning curve of plane walking, I found that I was able to recover the lost knowledge and surpass it quite quickly. The larger ‘world’ of the planes is quite wondrous indeed. I feel that my increasing appetite for understanding may never cease.
