The Elite Devil walked slowly across the dusty plain of the abyss. Its steps were measured and it showed great caution. All around it were the corpses of demon and devil alike. Some were the victims of the blood war. Mauled and maimed by each other... but the rest... the rest were not. There they laid, in heaps of flesh and bone... by the dozen. All of them bore the same wounds... that of the arrow and bow. Some of the hardier creatures had more than a score of arrows embedded deeply in their flesh... none survived.

The devil slowly surveyed the battlefield and the hills surrounding it. Whatever he sought to find... it was not making itself known. In guttural common it shouted out.

"Show yourself coward! I do not fear you!"

It beat its blade against its tower shield and roared out in anger. As the rage subsided a small figure, brightly coloured in pink and carrying a pink longbow (a colour it detested) appeared out of thin air not fifty paces from where it stood. On her face was a sly smile that screamed innocence and trouble. The smile of subtle teenage seduction coupled with the rebellious bravado usually accompanied with it. The girl almost begged the beast to come at her with her wry grin. A small bubble of flavoured pine-gum blew from her wax coated lips and *popped* before being taken back in and chewed once more. The small elven girl, between seductive chews and a wink, simply said...

"Come get some big boy".

The Devil screamed out in rage and charged the archer at once. She stood in place, the only movement was a slight bending of the knees and tensing of the thighs. The Devil moved at her as fast as it could muster. As it neared it raised its blade to strike her down. In a single motion the elf dove between its legs and emerged behind the still moving monstrosity. A fluid motion got her effortlessly to her feet and allowed her to fire two precise arrows at the devil. Both of the creatures knees took the brunt of the short volley causing it to stumble and fall forward onto its face. Howling out in pain it rolled over and launched a fireball at the small creature tormenting it. Before the ball of flame arrived she simple melded into the air around her and vanished. The fireball sailed past and exploded... sending corpses into a spin of burnt flesh. The Devil stood again and looked about. Once more she stood fifty paces from it.

"I thought you wanted some of this?" She said as she moved her hand over her hip.

It roared louder than ever and moved as quick as able at her. This time she wasn't smiling like before. He face had grown dark. She raised her bow at the charging creature.

One arrow... two arrows... four... six... twelve... Her hand was a blur, the song of her bowstring could be heard quite clearly... but not as clearly as the impact of each of the arrows on the devil. All found it with deadly accuracy. Each caused a massive amount of damage... more than the creature could withstand. At a mere ten feet from the unmoving elf it fell onto its side. Barely breathing as its lungs filled with ichor. It had been completely immobilized and was on the verge of death. The archer slowly walked over to it and stood over it fearlessly. The creature let out a final growl as she took out her gum and stuck it to its forehead.

As she pulled out another clump of gum and deposited it in her mouth another figure appeared beside her. An elf clad in white leathers.

"Was that absolutely necessary, Eo?" Vara said while chuckling.

"Not really, sis" replied Eo...

"But it sure was fun!"
