**While Odette's hair was naturally a golden blonde at birth, and indeed maintained that colour throughout her lifetime, soul-based trauma and resurrection from death through boon of Somnus blanched from her hair in the year 132Ha. Devoid of all colour, it grows now in a permanent state of fair silver-white.
Appearance:
Forged by steel, the woman that once was seems almost a distant memory for those whom would recognize her. With golden hair pulled back entwined in messy bun, one is given a clear view of bronzed features drawn defined and angular over recent months. Scars of deep crimson weave themselves across freckled countenance, upward from left jawline to cheek with a secondary over the bridge of feminine nose in addition to many others that now mar athletic form; one that boasts firm, corded muscle without the loss of femininity.

Deep-set within lashes lined in dark kohl faintly reminiscent of warpaint design, emerald hues take in surroundings with a keen attentiveness to detail. While a smile, or more often a smirk, finds itself easily to full lips, the sincerity of expression (as genuine as it may be) is laced with it a faint trace of detachment. If one were to judge by outward appearance, the young woman appears to be aged in her late twenties.

The blonde carries herself with a quiet strength and the confidence of a woman whom stands unparalleled; usually to the tapping jingle of leather, chain and buckle clicking against one another in unison of sauntered strides. Most often clad in worn leathers, sporadically though intentionally place chain-mail guard key offensive and defensive limbs. Gone is the rapier that once hung on her hip, replaced instead with the broader sheath of a silver-hilted longsword.

Favoring the usual combination hug of leather breeches and dark knee high boots with the addition of open collared shirt when in rest, there is one thing the woman is never without; treasured pendant of the Crone of War tucked within various layers, replacing lucky charm of The Lady Who Smiles (superstitious as it may have been). Throughout various cycles, different equipment comes and goes from leather attachments on her person, yet a leather bag of holding is always within arms reach.
Mental Information

Alignment: Chaotic Neutral. [Formerly Chaotic Good]

Personality Type: Enneagram | Type 8 [60%] - The Challenger | Type 5 [40%] - The Investigator.
Deity/Beliefs: The Morrigan.

The Short Version:
  • Sociable: Despite her views on the world around her, Odette enjoys engaging with people, and usually presents in a charismatic way regardless of pressing issues. One would find her to be open and willing to speak on a day to day basis, should contact be made. Rarely does she turn down the opportunity to share a drink or hear a well-spun tale; the latter a hook that reels her in more often than not.
  • Willful: Twice now, Odette has walked through fire and flames for a loved one and will continue to do so. Friend, ally, lover, battle-born family. Those whom prove themselves unto she, earn her support and dedication. With a do-or-die attitude she wears her courage as a badge, confidence as blade, loyalty as armor and determination as shield.
  • Passionate: Odette is no unfeeling killer, her actions are guided by personal ethics in most situations. Despite this, she will always do what needs to be done and speaks with an honest heart. Throwing herself fully into each task she undertakes, be it battle, debate or sex; she is a strong-hearted woman not easily subdued. This passion comes across in both word and mannerism, sometimes manifesting in headstrong recklessness or stubborn action.
  • Independent: Every interaction is perceived as a want rather than a need, for she stands on her own two feet; be it alongside others or alone. Overtime, Odette has learned that she is the one in control of her fate and happiness, none other. The joy she finds in company, task, ideal - is because she chose it to be so. That is not to say she is without doubt, however, as choice inevitably lead to consequence.
  • Gatecrasher: Gatecrashers see what they do as an art, not a science. The ability to choose the right moment to strike, the correct word to utter, the right rock to move, is more intuition than conscious thought. They are the tricksters of the multiverse, often testing the valiant, derailing the grasping, and deflating the egotistical. Their instinctive understanding of the nature of the universe allows them to perform actions that would otherwise be beyond them.
The Long Version:
Odette is portrayed as a courageous and strong-willed mercenary protagonist; an 'ordinary' woman living in an extraordinary world. While key components remain as foundation for her personality, she is an impulsive figure that is constantly growing and adapting throughout her time in Sigil both in skill and constantly challenged beliefs. Her exposure to the Cage and the developments brought about though contact has seen her since take a more centered neutral view in her opinions of the world and morality itself; acting first for those important to her.

Coming to favor a more taciturn demeanor in public due to circumstantial isolation, her subdued nature is not something that could be misconstrued as submissive; for indeed there seems not a single bone of such in her body. Her words tend to be straight forward and to the point, though she's not above tease, taunt, boast and flirt in lighter times; she is a kind-hearted person but struggles to express this because of what has been endured and lived through. She tends to clash with others now and then, regardless of relationship, due to conflicting life paths and fiery temperament that manifests as an offset of her passionate nature.

Odette is not without confidence and carries it as surely as any weapon, yet she is not unshakable nor without doubt. Despite putting on a brave front for most, she has introspective moments where she struggles, like many, for relevance and importance in a world that forges ever onward and continues to challenge her in unexpected ways, besting her at every turn. Her biggest themes in this are loss, betrayal, consequence and morality. She also has to handle discrimination in varying degrees, from the curious looks she attracts from appearance to her capabilities as a woman and prowess in positions of leadership.

In recent times, she's come to hold some faith in the Morrigan. At first through prayers for a departed loved one whom held the belief, she lit nightly candle and with it the wish that he would return safely. Then, rather than praying for the protection of another, she herself prayed for the strength to see it done, and has since held true to that ideal. Odette believes life is short and, at times, cruel; one should make the most of it while it lasts in all aspects of mind, body and soul.

Companions:
? Ülrike - Untamed, Unfriendly, Pack-mate. (CR 2)
There are times in life where one is simply in the right place at the right time, and for the crossing of paths between these two it was so. A shaggy wolf, ferocious and proud, rescued from death at the claws of harpy. Named by she 'The Lord of Wolves', both would take offense to the notion the hound is a pet. The two hold a begrudging respect for one another as equals and have developed something of a bond, despite the disagreements they've had... and the scars that prove it. Ülrike has since been surrendered to the Grasslands of Brux.

♘ Astutus the Cunning - Tortured Stallion of Flame. (CR 5, Neutral Evil)
A sour, demented beast of obsidian black wreathed in sunset flames. Transported to Sigil within a soul prism, the Nightmare once served as mount to the ringleader of a particular Zhentarim cell disabled through vengeance. Dubbed Astutus ('cunning'), he is neither kind nor helpful and attacks any and all who would seek to mount themselves upon him. It is only through sheer force of will that Odette has any semblance of control over the beast entrusted to she. Selfish, cruel and cunning, he would surely take any opportunity to watch the world burn. It is currently (and experimentally) being detained on Gatehouse grounds.

Inventory:
  • Pendant of The Morrigan: Treasured pendant of three crows encircling spiral triskele; each one set with ruby red eyes. The symbol itself seems to have been forged by the meld of two halves; one new, and one very old and worn. Bestowed by Kelth McEwan. It rests alongside a feathered trinket, promised to protect against the domination of Fey and others.
  • Sending Stones: Three smooth stones, marked with k, Q and V respectively, indicating to whom the stones are directly linked. Each stone allows the holder's to communicate within the same plane of existence only. Beholden to twenty five words or less. Due to the nature and dangers of the device, used sparingly. [Published in PlayerÂ’s Handbook, page(s) 255].
