Basic Information
Name: Dhalla
Gender: Female
Race: Erinyes (from Dis)
Age: 320
Profession: Magically bound servant of Rhethys Crimson
Accent: None, but generally speaks in a playful, teasing tone

Physical Information
Height: 6'
Weight: 150 lbs
Body build: Muscular
Skin type: Smooth, hairless, and without blemish
Hair style: Shoulder-length, and always well-brushed and shining
Tattoos: A stylized infernal symbol centered on her navel, and a series of intricately linked magical circles on her back, between her wings. The one on her back glows faintly in darkness (see below).
Colouring:
Hair: Black Eyes: Black, glowing faintly red Skin: Tanned [/li]
Mental Information
Alignment: Lawful Evil
Philosophy: The multiverse needs to be controlled. Allowing too much freedom or expression only leads to anarchy and mindless chaos, and who better than the Baatezu to implement that control?
Deity/Beliefs: Formerly in the service of Dispater's public works department, she does pray to the Archduke upon occasion
Personality:
Playful Mortals are just that, mortals. Enjoy their naive minds, and use charm and humor to push them towards your own way of thinking. Mercurial Has come to terms with her servitude, but the warlike nature of the erinyes is still a part of her, especially when her mistress is absent. Proud Despite having to serve another, she takes pride in her position as chief of the Crimson Sorceress' servants, and takes every opportunity to flaunt this over the various tanar'ri who make up the rest of the Menagerie. Intense When something needs to be done, she throws herself into it with single-minded intensity, heedless of danger or repercussions. [/li]
Additional Information
Gear: Stronger than most of her kind, she uses a massive falchion in battle. Eschewing the traditional leathers or armor of her kin, she will always be found wearing robes.
Jewelry: An amulet is suspended on her forehead from chains cunningly wound through her hair, while a matching necklace is held by a thin chain choker on her throat. Occasionally she'll show rings pierced at seemingly random positions on her body for decoration.
Weaknesses: Magically enforced loyalty to her mistress can force her to deal with threats to and commands from Rhethys, despite her own plans or misgivings.

Day 4,502

This would be the third time she's left me for more than a few days. I would say that over the course of twelve years, such would not be so severe; despite having acclimated myself to serving a mortal, I do still relish these days of semi-solitude, when I can at least play at the illusion of freedom. However, such is not the case for many of the tanar'ri who serve her; the lack of her influence allows their more chaotic natures to assert themselves despite the bindings, and between cleaning up after the quasit and bulezau and rebuffing the advances of the succubi (especially Malydieth and her needles; there is something seriously amiss with that creature) I find myself hoping for her speedy return, no matter what her reason for departure.

I must admit, however, to having far less worry than the previous instances engendered. As my early entries into this journal attest, it is painful to the pride of an erinyes to be the first binding of a fledgling conjurer. After all, most mortal spellweavers are still learning to conjure balls of light at age sixteen, no matter how powerful their mentors or what dark tomes they've read. To not only find myself called and held, but truly bound into service did take some time to accept, and that first absence of nearly a year as she learned the lost secrets of Nar was a constant jittering hope of that telltale sensation of Miss Crimson's death, and the release from her control that would bring.

Ahh, but herself does tend to grow on one, even if she allies herself with abyssal powers. By the time of the second absence, she had grown in power, and my own bondage was secondary to being placed in a position of authority over the others she had bound in the years between. Of course, that time I knew of her plans, and was thrilled when the summons finally came to join her in that pestilent desert city she had travelled to.

Sigil was a bit more of a surprise, but eminently sensible. There are limitations upon mortals who spend their entire lives on a single plane, especially if those mortals deign to command those beings they call "outsiders". And of course, such a cosmopolitan place seems a far more fitting abode for one such as I.

To again reiterate what has been stated oft before within these pages, I do sometimes worry at my attachment to Herself. Am I still a proper baatezu serving one who does not share the proper concept of Axiom, and when my freedom comes with her eventual passing, will I be welcomed back to Dis with open arms, or find myself punished for these years? Even worse, is my hope that her passing is far in the future a betrayal of myself? I cannot know for certain, as it is admittedly possible that the runes binding me to her service may also be altering my thoughts, and they are the true reason I wish for her return.

The visit from the Harmonium to the Residence might put her absence in its proper perspective, however. The charges leveled against her ally Hildmor are severe, and it can be no coincidence that the ledgers she kept for the Cartel vanished with her. I only know that she lives, as otherwise I would have nothing holding me from departing for Dis, possibly with the heads of the rest of the menagerie in a bag. Unless... no. My personal feelings, no matter what they were, would not alter that thruth.

And yet, I find myself wondering anew. The mural she painted herself... obviously those art classes at the festhall have paid off, but underestimating the obviousness of mortal plots is never a bad thing to do. Did she return to Toril, to Luskan, to the Hosttower? And if she did... should I expect her to stay there, and call me back yet again?

Day 4,504

It is truly interesting how the conceptualization of a place changes depending upon one's own circumstances. The times I was needed to act as bodyguard to Miss Crimson, Sigil seemed a city fraught with danger. And this was not simply in regards to the likes of Marius or Cesare, but truly anyone who was not well-known; from cutpurses lurking in every alley to Hardheads with agendas, it seemed my presence was often the only think keeping my Mistress safe from attack.

Yet here, I walk the streets alone and see very little peril. Of course, the lower class of criminal is wise enough to give an erinyes wide berth, while those who simply create trouble for trouble's sake will avoid starting it with somebody larger than them who is armed, two descriptions that would not ever be used to describe Miss Crimson. But most oddly, I've not encountered any who think being what they perceive as "evil" necessitates my destruction, or any who wish to test themselves against the fury of a roused outsider. This is probably for the best, as a session in the rather marvelous arena with an elf proved that the somewhat pampered existence I've been living has caused my martial skills to atroph somewhat. But easily enough remedied, and yet another excuse to avoid the chaos-pit the Residence is becoming.

Of course, danger does not equate to intrigue. Simply in the person of the professed fiend-hunter Nienna, there seems to be enough intrigue about to satisfy any courtier of the palaces surrounding the Iron Tower. Conversation with her has revealed things both about the current climate within the Cage, and, surprisingly, some things I did not know about my Mistress. It will likely be worth it to see what else she is willing to divulge to a seemingly "harmless" fiend, as if the symbols on my back made me some milquetoast aasimon or brainless guardinal.
