Other info
Syn was recruited by Bregan D'aerthe at the same time as his brother and has been working for them ever since. He feels he owes Jarlaxle a life debt. He has made only one actual "friend" in the group, his commanding officer Valas Hune. His attitude, however, has not endeared him with Kimmuriel, the psion and second in command of Bregan D'aerthe.

Story thus far...
Shortly after Mer'Zikain disappeared, Jarlaxle approached Syn and asked that he locate his brother. Syn would have requested to do so anyway so he quickly agreed. Jarlaxle told him that he wasn't to bring Mer'Zikain back, just keep tabs on him and see what he was up to and learn why he disappeared without making contact. He was to become his brother's shadow.

As soon as he agreed, Kimmuriel opened a portal and shoved Syn through it without any of his gear. Luckily for him, Kimmuriel opened the gate to Sigil directly instead of making him go through the nine hells to get there (he wouldn't defy Jarlaxle that openly at least).

Since his arrival he has acclimated himself with the local culture and has begun tracking down his wayward brother. He has met a few people but has not made any solid contacts as of yet.
