Sigil: City of Doors

one question about the gift giving I tend to hand out +4 or +5 versions of sub optimal armors (half plate comes to mind) to new and low level PCs (the half plat being the equivalent of +2 full plat at +5). Would this practice still be in keeping in line with the desired result of not handing new PCs the whole enchilada from the get go?

Please charge a minimum of the merchant sell price atleast (should be reasonably simple to convince someone to pay that, since they'll get the sum refunded when they sell the armor after getting something better). Preferably more where this is possible.

And it doesn't harm to send them on quests, to do the stock NWN2 quests found in Sigil Main.
