been wondering about languages in the game yeah their are many.. and you can only select a few at the beginning of the server..
Would it be possible to get more languages given to characters on Request.. say.. like my Druid learning animal.. or if somone took lessons to learn abyssal in game .. and so on?

if smart enough or you can plead to dms to get languages.
I thought the amount of languages were equal to the modifier of intelligence. Not sure if that rule applies here. Some servers have bards getting a free one or druids getting free animal.
dunno need staff view. I like languages they are neat.

It's all based on the DMFI script, which is fully customizable. By default, it does give certain languages that we currently have implemented, such as elves getting elven. That list is fully customizable.
If it's running close to the default, it will always check you for languages when you log in; if your intelligence says you should have more languages than you do, it should then prompt you to select additional ones (and it must be base intelligence, not improved due to items). I have no idea if that actually works (or is implemented here), because I've never played an INT-based character on a server running DMFI. XD

goes off starting intelligence if you improve it over time no gain. Perhaps a new NPC in the ooc room to award them as you level up? If staff approves that the modifier equals languages known then people will not have to pester dms for it.

By PNP rules you don't gain new languages on higher int, that only happens on character creation... you could however spend skill points to learn new languages.
Generally if you make a good case to a DM who is online and not too busy, then getting a new language isn't a big deal. Asking for all of them generally will get a now though ;)
