Adamantine?

Hey all,

As I'm learning the server and learning about enemy DR, I was wondering if there is adamantine to buy or find in drops to make weapons...? I have silver for the rats and devils, cold iron for demons and fey, but nothing for constructs? Does a Construct Ruin weapon cut through their DR? Or does it just offer sneak and crit ability?

Adamantine ingots nor Mithral ingots are available in the server at the current time, we might at some point add them, but have no real rush. (considering they're mostly superior compaired to the other types, which is generally proved by the frequent asking of it from us ;P )

For constructs, Construct Ruin weapons do not go through the Damage Reduction they have, only allows making criticals and add half your sneak attack (if you have any to add).


There are some adamantine weapons and mithral armors out there however, but no ingots... and only very rare item types.

Glad to have that cleared up. I'll stop hunting around. Not having them is a plus and minus, I suppose. For PVP, it means that one player can't cut through another's stoneskin spells, which is good. The downside is that there's no way to cut through similar enemy DR.

I'm not sure addy is overpowered. I actually don't like the 2 magical damage on weapons because it takes up a very important enchantment slot. And you all have some awesome enchantments to put on weapons, by the way. For armor? The added DR is nice, but 2/ isn't anything crazy.

what mithral armors exist? what adamantite weapons?

Ive found some adamantine chain mail or chainshirt, i forget which. Though thats all ive found. I think its very rare and hard to get right now, because ive found more Holy Avenger type weapons than adamantine items.

- Based on reports and what I've found myself, we're talking about the stock NWN2 mithral armors.

"What adamantite weapons?"
I've not stumbled onto a adamantine weapon. Although, I did once spot a weapon called "Something Xtor" but when I got back to the loot bag, it had turned into a normal Purple Longsword. >,>

But, I would guess that the most likely adamantine weapon would be a longsword.

there is a light hammer that's basically a mage killer that is made out of it.

I actually found a plain 'Adamantine Morningstar' on one of my characters. Just a morningstar that's adamantine, no other properties.

There's also an adamantine greatsword, and an adamantine light hammer as Ovarf mentions. Though these have all pre-existing properties.

I have heard rumours of bars existing but VERY rare. I figure plane weapons made of it or bars would get a lot of jink.

Ingots aren't in loot tables. So no need to try guessing for those ;) every non Adamantine and Mithral ingots however should be available in stores. On other words, only possible way to get your hands on Adamantine or Mithral ingot would ever be possible through DMs at the current point.
