Let me start off with saying that, with the sudden boom in popularity of golems, those who are willing to make them ic and sell them to other characters stand to make great levels of wealth.

Miranda, who i have always played as a construct specialist naturally went the way of the golem master when the class was released and she has a LINE of people who are waiting to buy her constructs.

Now, I make this post because i have noticed something that can help golem merchants considerably but it could also cause some server side issues that the staff would need to consider if they havent been discussing it already.

If someone with a golem logs out with out dismissing the golem the golem because an errant motionless part of the landscape, ive already seen dozens of ownerless golems standing around the city.

Thats the problem.

But...as long as its in a privately owned area or a far out of the way unobtrusive area would it be a bad thing if pcs could use this....mechanically error to set up a display of the golems they are selling instead of just showing off one at a time?

At the core, its definatly a bug and a glitch, no doubt about it, and I advise players not to do this until the staff either decided to eliminate the bug or decides some way to govern it.

IF the powers that be end up fixing this malfunction could something be done to allow golem merchants to carry out my suggestion?

The easiest way i can think of would be to use the merchant want system to tag the real golem, and then point and click to create a mockery of it.

Also a minor glitch... several golems should not be transferrable, and that they are is an oversight on my part that will probably be remedied tonight. Just to warn you all.

Good. That golems are that powerful that they really shouldnt be tradeable.

I completely agree, and infact miranda has point blank told many people ic even her trusted friendsand allies there are a handful of golems she will not sell no matter how much is offered simply because they are too powerful and dangerous for just anyone to use, (ic reason why she cant lol).

For now, I suggest anyone interested in selling golems, take the golem summon/control widigt put it in a storage bag, and use the merchant want to put the icons in a chest just like you would other items.

Just my two cents for now.
