Discovery ran a special on our very own Ceremorph!

Five points and a cookie to the first person to figure out which of Cere's distinctive attributes mentioned in this video made me laugh out loud...

The, uh. Ink sac for quick getaways and the feeding tentacles.
It can't possibly be the "intelligence" thing. *Flee.*

That's why the fact that they have one is funny?

As an aside, I really, really wanted an octopus or a cuttlefish. But they are so expensive and don't last more than a year in captivity.

I had a really cute cowfish, though. He used to want to be petted!

Hehe... I would keep your kitty away from that cowfish.

Tetrodotoxin in the liver and skin. (Or is it tri-iodotoxin? Can't remember.) Anyway, similar to the toxin in pufferfish.

I have idly toyed with the idea of writing a mystery in which the victim is killed with meatballs that have been made with added pufferfish toxin. I think it would be an unlikely-to-be-detected poison. I doubt that most U.S. forensic tox labs are testing for it...

Undetectable murder!

Erm... Yes. Anyway...cuttlefish are cute!
