diety: Kwan Yu
Country: Ancient China
Favored Weapon: Halberd
Alignment: Lawful Good
Portfolio:Justice,Brotherhood and Oaths

(I can make a icon for this. I just need to know what size and the format. If I'm missing any info please post what categories I'm missing then I'll fill it in.)

I think this fits more into our current policy, that you aren't required to worship the deity who shows up on your character sheet, specifically because only the DMs can see this information. So simply choose another deity who gives you what you want, and then say it's Kwan Yu.

That's the thing. As far as I know there is no deity that has a favored weapon of halberd. (As far as I know)

If we're going the route of "pick for mechanics and RP something else," why not have the deity list contain the following "deity" choices?
wrote:Favoured Weapon: Bastard Sword (NG)
Favoured Weapon: Katana (NG)
Favoured Weapon: Halberd (NG)
Favoured Weapon: Longsword (NG)
...

Favoured Weapon: Bastard Sword (TN)
Favoured Weapon: Katana (TN)
Favoured Weapon: Halberd (TN)
Favoured Weapon: Longsword (TN)
...

Favoured Weapon: Bastard Sword (NE)
Favoured Weapon: Katana (NE)
Favoured Weapon: Halberd (NE)
Favoured Weapon: Longsword (NE)
...
...and so on and so forth? If I recall correctly, all our domains are already unlocked regardless of deity choice, so favoured weapon and available alignments is literally the only mechanical difference between one deity and another. In a setting of infinite primes and infinite gods, why are we even trying to maintain a list of names that players can just throw in their bios and incorporate into their RP?

Just have three for each favoured weapon, one each of the alignments Neutral Good, True Neutral and Neutral Evil, so that characters of any alignment can pick any favoured weapon.

And add the absolute cheese deity, favored weapon: throwing axe!

Seriously, peeps can't accept any mechanical compromise on builds and need everything (items, diety, skills) 100% tuned specifically to their planned build/weapon choices.

That's what the elipses are for! Ideally, every single type of weapon, including whips which we have added specifically, would have three "deities," one for each position on the Morality axis. LG and CG can select the NG version of their favoured weapon by virtue of one-stepping, etc. etc..
