Sigil: City of Doors

I recently saw someone walking around, giving orders, and treating everyone like they were beneath his power. Thats fine if youve got permission and/or are a DM, but It wasnt a DM, and i dont even think he was above lvl12. He had abunch of players he was commanding, I dont think they knew better >?<, and had a description like he was from some important leniage. This is fine and dandy to Rp your character like this. But Im used to seeing that only if a player has been there along time, and has permission. Alot of PW have strict rules about this. "Your not a king unless we say you are , ect ect.", and im wondering your policy on that, because ive seen to have missed that part in the rules.

I dont really care if someone wants to RP like that, but seeing others following him around and taking orders made me wonder what the heck was goin on. He tried talking down to me, and ordering me around, i refused, he then Threatend to murder me for disrepect, I just laughed at him. :D

The cage was hectic the other night. A prositute tried to coax me into an ambush. A drow slapped me in the face with his gauntlet, and another drow had rabies and was making a scene in the market *Foaming at the mouth*. Also, there was a couple of fist fights, and a murder. All in an hour. Gotta love the City of Doors. :o

You can be from another realm perhaps a prince perhaps the town drunk. Does not matter, have to remember even if you were the king of the whole planet your were from you are not squat in sigil.

I know of a Merchant lord, and another who is a Prince/King IG.

As you Rped is understandable, Its one of those "yeah you WERE a big fish but now you are here".

I have one character with no titles the other dozens he earned else were he does not bother with them here no one knows them, that realm, nor cares.

It's the Cage! All sorts of people come from everywhere. =P It doesn't mean rank and lineage mean anything in Sigil, but if they manage to get a following anyways, good for them!

Easy to get folks to follow you. have jink will travel.

Ironically, I've found that most the people who, IC, are the rude/obnoxious/ domineering/ or just-plain-evil types - are OOC some of the nicest around! :lol:

That is because IRL we are unwilling to do anything our characters would. And/or only through a game were we are faceless we are willing to be Uber jerks. Its all those who play LG to the T that scare me :P

Well, yes.. If we are to follow the logic that everyone plays the exact opposite of who they are.

I'm confused. You admitted you didn't know what was happening IC, but because you thought the character was Level 12 you decided not to comply with the RP?

I really don't understand what is the issue. :huh:
