Okay, I know that it's mechanically possible to post using someone else's name, but it should not be allowed.
Ambrosia is a pen name for an actual sigis reporter. Sigis staff knows who they are.
And whoever wrote under her name makes it look like it was a direct stab at her, if I'm reading it correctly. No idea what I did to deserve that.
Either way, please refrain from using my pen name in the future, as there's no reason why this would even be possible, much less warranted.
Thank you :)

I'm all for the in character conflict, but the simple fact remains.
Someone posted a sigis article using the name of a sigis reporter as retaliation against the original poem I posted about an npc. I think there was some kind of miscommunication along the way, since there's absolutely no reason for a player to do this.
Anything I post about pcs is a riddle. This was a poem just because I was bored, and I'm getting impersonated and insulted for it. Whoever slammed me for this is really pushing that whole meta envelope people keep complaining about.

Well, there's always the possibility of things like Dopplegangers and such that are out to get you, as well.

Um...People make up pen names all the time. The city has hundreds and thousands of residents, so to accidental use of some one else's name doesn't really sound like an issue.
Also it's kind of like the tabloids.
Having a character with a name does not make anyone the exclusive owner of said name.

That is perhaps true but if you take the player base as a number, the chances of having the same name is reduced greatly. Then you take the fact the SIGIS already knows Ambrosia, the chances of them letting another post under her name (in a blatant attempt to look like her) would be minimal.
It's another case of metagaming the engine instead of using common sense.. They did it because they can.

Actually, if I remember correctly, we do have the name of the poster always saved, and it was designed this way exactly for awkward situations like this. So, Ambrosia, if you'd like to make a formal complaint to the DM Team (PM with screenshot of offending article so we don't have to go in and out of game to check it), we might be able to look into it and settle this particular incident.
That said, people can and have made use of the ability to switch names many times for perfectly benign purposes. I'm not sure it should be entirely removed because of something which happens maybe once a year.
