Recently I made a terrible mistake and I deeply regret it, while they may be circumstances I do not with to detail here. Any of the parties involved are right to hate me for what happened, as this isn't what an EM should do. However, I wouldn't accept to see the staff blamed for my mistakes for they hold no responsibilities in this. This is why I decided to resign from my EM position.

I'm sorry for the people who were waiting for my events, I failed you and I'll try to do my best to get another EM/DM I trust to continue the plots I had started.

It's a game. You're a fallible person, dealing with other fallible people, in a medium with highly imperfect communication. Don't sweat it, just deconstruct it with the people involved and move forward stronger. Running events is hard as hell, and the fact that you're giving up your time to do this for others entitles you to breathing room and the benefit of the doubt.

I'd say to not beat yourself up over it. Apologize, make it right, and move on. None of us are perfect, but all of us have the capacity to grow as a person through our mistakes.

Will be sad to see you leave the EM team, though if you feel that's what you need to do, then that's fair enough. Perhaps in the future you'll pick up the mantle again, and things will be better. Only time will tell.

Everyone makes mistakes when feeling pressured, its human nature. Stepping down and admitting you made a mistake will go a long way :)

As I am currently taking a break from active playing, I have no idea what happened.

Perhaps, I would be the only person, who truly and sincerely believes, that person has no right for mistakes and should be trying to avoid them at any cost.

What I see, is, that Thou behavest responsibly and honourably by admitting thine mistake (whatever it was) and regretting it, and thus Thou hast my respect for such behaviour.
