Sigil: City of Doors

I had meant to post this once I had a better idea of schedules and, honestly, narrowed the plot out a little bit more, but since I've heard a generally keen reaction to the folks I have discussed this with, I suppose I'll open up the registration now.

Basically; in the near future (likely end of next month, but maybe sometime in Feb), I'll be starting a campaign primarily for people in the Harmonium. Now, here's the catch; this campaign is for NEW CHARACTERS ONLY.

The idea is to start everyone as a new recruit into the Faction. The campaign will take participants from the day of their induction, through training and into their early assignments, leading up to a sinister plot that threatens to undo not just the Sigilian Faction branch, but the Orthan Imperium itself. Players will get to see a side of the Faction not often explored, facing its challenges and understanding its motives within and beyond the City of Doors.

There are a couple of things anyone interested should keep in mind:

1) New characters only. It doesn't matter if you already have a Harmonium PC, this campaign will start with the assumption that all involved are being inducted at the same time (in fact, the first session will be the induction).

2) Starting level range will be 1-3, with a preference for everyone just starting at 1 (because it's easier to gauge everyone challenge level if you're at the same range). While the campaign will lead up to a fair amount of action, I do not want to start it off with everyone being a super soldier. NOTE: This range is still being decided on, so stay tuned for updates.

3) Anyone interested should post as much in this thread. Feel free to PM me to discuss your characters starting motives/ origin if you feel it's important. A couple of suggestions I have given the few I've spoken with:

1- You are a recruit who has joined in the Cage itself.
2- You were a recruit from a Harmonium world who has elected to take a post in Sigil.
3- You have been sent to Sigil as a sort of unofficial 'punishment' by your training officer.
4- Everything was going swell till you crossed the wrong Harmonium governor on one of their worlds. A few strings pulled, and you found yourself assigned to the s***t hole of the planes...

Again, if you have particular ideas that you'd like factored in once we start, feel free to message me and we'll figure something out!

Game! What times do you tend to run?

Pellease; I've yet to work out a schedule (will post so after New Years some time). However, do let me know what time usually works for you (this goes for everyone interested) and I'll try to work out something that works for as many as possible.

I'm PST over here, I'm free M & W 7-10 pm, T & TH 7+ (Could go later these nights, hopefully not too late.)

And I'm free on weekends. It'd be great if we can make it a regular time each week and I can just throw that onto my Calendar.

As far as character builds go are you looking more for melee or would a psion work? (Nerdy, skinny kid thrown into the army trying to escape persecution on his home world for odd powers. Now exposed to the harsh military life.)

The only rules for what you should play are as mentioned above. Barring that, roll up whatever you feel like you'll have fun playing :) .

I'll say this: Being a Harmonium adventure, yes you will face a fair bit of direct conflict. However, I will tailor the event depending on who all we end up having in the roster. So whether you want to play a knight in shining armor or a diplomat (or something else entirely), the choice is yours!

One final note though: with all of that said, I -will- be factoring in everyone's chosen race and class during the adventure. So expect Harmonium (especially those off plane) to react to you differently depending on those factors. (though really, this goes foranyone).
